When did she start in 24m/2T and when did she move on?
When did she start in 24m/2T and when did she move on?

Eh...from 20-28 months maybe? She's tall, so it's been impossible to keep her in 2T, length wise.
cantaloupe / 6751 posts
A full year. probably from about 26 months - couple months past age 3. She's thin but tall so outgrow 2s by height before weight.

She's just 2 and 24 month is still big on her! I think she will be in them for a while. She's 34.5 inches and 24lbs.

about a year maybe? but shes on the shorter side. it seemed like a long time. shes outgrowing 3t alot faster

I think she started 2T around her 2nd bday (March). Was in 3T by fall, so probably around 7 months.

We started her in those sizes at around 20 months and she's just starting to grow out of them now at almost 29 months. We didn't really do much 24 month though, we went right to 2T.

Forever. Some 2t stuff we started before 2 (with room to grow) and she's still wearing it all now at 31 months.
cantaloupe / 6206 posts
24m she grew out of quickly. She's 2y 9mo and most of her 2T stuff fits (and she's 85% for height). She's in mostly 3T pants now but we can squeeze by with 2T most of the time.

@snowjewelz: my girl started wearing it around 18 months. She was probably in 2t until 28ish months?

Forever...
My peanut just doesnt grow quick at this point! She has been in 24/2T since around her second birthday (still wear some 18 mos shirts) and is 2.5 now. I dont see her outgrowing it anytime soon...
cantaloupe / 6206 posts
@Anagram: Oh really?? Our 24m is all significantly smaller - she could barely wear it around 2 yr. Almost a year later she's still wearing 2T.

@JoJoGirl: 24 months is slightly bigger in order to fit a diaper in - 2T is slimmer
eggplant / 11716 posts
@Mamaof2: That's what I thought...maybe 24 months is slightly wider and shorter. But it all depends on brand, I think.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@Mamaof2: ohh really. I was wondering what the difference is!

DS was in 2T until he was 3. DD1 was in 2T at 18 months until 28-29 months then she was in 3T. DD2 still isn't in 24 months/2T at 19 months.

@Anagram: @Mamaof2: Ohhhhh that makes sense - my LO is super tall and her 24m stuff got short on her immediately!

@Anagram: @JoJoGirl: @Mamaof2: All of our 24m Carters stuff was way smaller than 2T. All the shirts were shorter and slimmer cut, and the shorts were smaller too. DS was only in 24m for a couple months around 18m. He still wears a lot of 2T things now at 2 1/4.

I didn't buy 24 months, just 2t. She's been in 2t for a year probably? She is just over 2.5 and 2t still fits good with lots of room. I brought some 3T pants and they fell down to her ankles instantly. She's quite small though ( 25 pounds, not sure on her height off the top of my head )
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
@ShootingStar: I wonder what it looks like to compare 24m with 18m then!

@Smurfette: really? She must be tall! L is still in some 2T clothes! He's pretty tall too, but proportionally his legs are short so maybe that's why. He's 34lbs and I think 39 inches and wore 2T jeans and buttondown to school today.
wonderful kiwi / 23653 posts
Haha so I was google this and basically 24m month is for bigger babies and 2T for true toddlers.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@travellingbee: I don't think that she is that tall but a couple brands the 3t leggings are short on her. But she has big thighs so I think her pants are a little shorter because of that. She wore a 3T dress yesterday and it was perfect on her. She has a belly so 3T shirts will be too short by summer.
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
@Smurfette: wow so she'll be in 4T?! The 3Ts fit him fine (shirts) except the arms are super long. I guess by short sleeve weather they'll be good though. I can't imagine him wearing 4T for a long time. The cut of girls clothes are probably different too. His are all T-shirt style rather than fitted stuff. Same with pants. They are all loose fit style.
cantaloupe / 6206 posts
@snowjewelz: okay that's what I always thought! They're definitely cut differently!
nectarine / 2591 posts
We used 2T not 24m but a year, 20 months to 32 months. She probably could of worn it a bit longer but sized up for the new season to save buying 2 wardrobes.

8ish months, from 12-20 months or so. They started to stay in sizes a little bit longer when they hit 2T.

I put mine in 24m/2t around 17mo-18mo. She is still in them at 22mo although I put her in 3t pjs this past month and they fit better. I would guess she will be out of them by 26mo. I just guess based on the inches on the size charts. She is normally around 90% for height and 70-75% for weight
The only 24mo we have is carters and they are def smaller than the 2ts. 24mo clothing she barely wore.
And the cloth diapers are a little tricky with the 2t clothing lol. I have some 2t pants now that are already getting too small because of diapers.

From about 18 months to 30 months. She can still wear 2T shirts and skirts, but she had a growth spurt and her legs are so long now!
cantaloupe / 6669 posts
A good long time. She's just now moving into 3T and she was starting to wear 24 months / 2T last summer. So, about 8 months.
