We have two: one is his, the other is mine. He will drive mine if I'm with him but if either of us have to go out, we take "our" cars.
We both live pretty far from work so, we could not deal with just one car.
ETA: there is no public transportation available to us here.

Just one! We live pretty near, like a 10 minute walk, from public transportation (not the subway system for the city, but the train that takes you to the subway system) and we also commute in together now, so we haven't needed a second car so far.

We have 2, one for each of us, but DH often takes the bus or bikes to work, so his doesn't get driven much.

we have three but there nothing fancy. we dont live anywhere near transporation- we live in the country.

We own DH's truck, and then we have my company car that I'm allowed to use for personal use. So technically we own just one, but we use my car for everything bc the gas is free. I worry about how we'll manage with a baby bc I feel like my company car is small once I have all my work stuff in it (It's a ford fusion hybrid), but no way are we buying another vehicle when this one is free so I guess we'll find a way to make room for baby and work stuff in there!

We have two, a Toyota Sienna mini-van and a really old Mercury Grand Marquis. The Mercury doesn't have heat or air, the windows hardly work, it's just a junker. DH drives it when I am using the van.

2---mine is a Rav 4 and his is a grand Marquis. 
he looks like he is an 80 yr old until he gets outs of the car. He likes it--it fits his tall frame.

2. DH has a much longer commute, so he has a POS 2001 corolla that gets almost 40mpg, that thing is amazing! You really can't kill a corolla! And I have the total opposite- a Chrysler Pacifica that gets all of 14mpg and is not the most reliable thing. We live in new England so we feel like it is important to have one all wheel drive vehicle. Mine is super comfy though:)

2 - my Infinity sedan and his BMX SUV.
Even though we live in the city of Chicago, I just don't have the patience to use public transportation... I drive everywhere. My husband does ride his bike to work in the summer though

We have 3. A dodge neon that he uses for work, a Mazda cx-7 which is my car and the "family" car, then we also have a toyota tundra that we use on weekends or if we are traveling somewhere.

I have one and DH technically has two. One is his daily driver and the other is racecar that he and his brother race as a hobby.

2- My VW Beetle and his Hyundai Elantra. We definitely couldn't deal with only having one to share because we live in the middle of nowhere. However, we've been carpooling to work since we're now driving the same direction. I drive 30 min, drop him off, then drive the rest of the way (15 min) to my work.

We need two now that we have DD. We lived with one before she arrived and DH would drive me to/from the train station. But with an LO, I have to drive her to daycare and other places.

We had two and then I realized that I hadn't used a tank of gas in six months and was spending $200 a month to park a car I never used. Sold it and never looked back. So now we have one, DH's Subaru.

We have 2. We're also not near public transportation. DH has a 2 door dodge ram truck that he uses mostly for work. I drive a crown victoria (that used to be DH's). If we go somewhere together we always take my car now that we have the baby. We want to trade in the crown vic and get a minivan in the next couple of years before baby #2 though:) I would love a honda odyssey or nissan quest.

We have 3. Mr j has a work truck which we're currently in the process of selling. Really we only drive one car, but it's nice to have a second if Mr. Jacks needs to go somewhere further than walking distance during the day... But hats off to one and no car families!

Just 1! DH takes public transportation to work, so paying for 2 cars wouldn't be the best choice for us right now.

Currently we have 3: my camry, his impala, and our jeep as a toy. We've always had 3 or 4 between the 2 of us with one of them being a toy. I'm pretty sure public transportation doesn't exist in the state of Kansas so having cars is a necessity.

we still use the cars our parents bought us in college, and aren't planning on upgrading until they die on us!

We have 2 cars, we primarily use the station wagon, but if I need it DH takes his really old 4runner. Once the station wagon is paid off DH is going to buy a new vehicle, and we will both be back to driving our own vehicles (with mine as our "family travel" vehicle).
