There are a few single-car family posts; just curious how many cars do you and your SO own?
EDIT: "own" as in you possess the vehicle, the car is parked in your driveway/ garage or on your street, even if the bank still has title...thanks Mrs. Bird lol.

We have his and hers cars! 
His is decidedly nicer than hers. I haven't gotten up the courage to travel anywhere with DD in my car yet. I feel a lease in my future...

We have two cars although technically, they're both DH's. He had a Corolla but decided when we had the money that he needed to invest in a truck. I now drive the Corolla because the truck is way too big for me but when we have some money again, we're probably going to trade the Corolla in for a new car that I pick out for myself.

We each have our own vehicle, plus DH has a Harley too.
And DH has 2 other vehicles but they're mainly used for the business. Aaaaaaaaaaaaand, we're in search of a car for me to use just for driving back and forth to work because I put so many miles on my car now.

we have two cars. one is a small SUV, and the other a 2 door coupe. we use the SUV most of the time as a family. we only use the coupe when one of us just goes out on an errand on our own. also, DH uses it for work.

We have three- DH's fun car- the one I want to be seen in, and his underwhelming reliable car- the one I am comfortable driving if I have to, and then there's my car- always new(er) because it comes with the job. DH has a motorcycle.

we had one for the longest time, then had to get a second when i got a full time job about a 40 minute from where we live AND had the baby coming.

We have 2, his we own and mine is leased- which is up at the end of the year and we will be purchasing an SUV for me.

We have two, but we really only use one at the moment. DH started a new job in January and works literally across the street from my office, so we carpool to and from work every day and mostly use my car for when we're out and about and for travel. Once I go on mat leave though we'll go back to using both cars.

We have two, a jeep patriot and a truck We always rise in the truck when we go somewhere together. I use the jeep if I need to run errands while DH is working.

We share one. Mr. Chalk takes the train to work. It's a pain sometimes, and I do often wish that we had a second car, but for now, we'd rather use that (umm, somewhat non-existent) money elsewhere.

Technically? A lot. We have: DHs Accord that we imported to the UK with us, my UK spec CRV, my Mustang that we left in the states, and then we inherited a BMW Z3, a Nissan Maxima, and a motorcycle when FIL passed away.

Up and down and up and down. Had two, then three then a different three and now we're at a different three. I can never make up my mind on what I want to own. SO has her car, I have my SUV and dedicated race car.

We own two, but mine needs some things fixed to be reliable so we've decided to go down to one car for the year, save up some $$, pay off some debt, and toward the end of the year use my car toward trade in for a new one..... something bigger for our growing familia!

We have four, two suv's, one old Ford that has been in dh's family since it was new, and a Jeep that we use as a toy in the hills. We're country 
we also have a fishing boat.
I think we're going to trade in our Excursion on a big four door crew cab that we can put a camper on and pull the boat, and I want to trade my Explorer in on a Nissan Armada. We'll have the big truck forever and hopefully the Jeep is sold!

Power tithe people who make one car work. I would die! Although since I work opposite hours we could make it work but I wouldn't be down. We both have cars. And I use my car for driving during the day and I steal dhs to drive to work usually.

two right now, but i'd like to have just one instead. the second car is just for DH to commute to work, but hopefully he'll be able to find a job closer to home and we won't need the extra car anymore.

Two. There is no way we could live off one! Mine is definitely nicer but we are trying to get every last safe mile out of his that we can before getting him a new one since his was free and still in great condition even with it being from 92'.

We have a shared family car (Tahoe) that we call my car. Then my husband drives a company truck, which is what we call his car. We also have my husbands old GMC truck from high school. He wants to restore it, but for now, it's his hunting truck.

We'd never survive with one - neither of us can take public transportation to our jobs and we work completely different hours (7:30-4:30 vs 9:30-6:30).

Two: We pretty much share both depending on what we need it for. His Corolla is better in the snow but my Civic gets better gas mileage. Both are paid off (hooray!) so we will eventually trade my older Civic coupe for a family-friendly wagon/suv.
