Two... one in high school that I saved up for, and then I used the family car for a few months in college. I haven't had a car since I graduated college though... I always just used public transportation or cabs.

6 cars of my own... 4 were leases, 2 were buys. I also cosigned on one of DH's cars, so I guess technically 7? I'm definitely not the norm when it comes to cars!

4. A 2000 Volkswagen Cabrio, 2006 Cadillac SRX, a 2010 Ford Taurus (it was really comfy when I was pregnant and Ford remade them to look sporty but I had buyers remorse immediately) and a 2012 Toyota Tundra (well, lately I drive it but it's my husbands until we find a suitable mom car for me).
I think the next buy will be a Toyota Highlander. I've had a weird variety of cars.

1977 Datsun 510 Turbo (7 years, sold it at 200,000 plus miles)
1997 Toyota truck (5years- hunk of junk) totaled it in 2003.
1996 Toyota 4 Runner (have owned for 10 years, great truck, slightly possessed!)
2010 Audi Q 5 (my first brand new car! We love this one too!)

My parents bought a 1982 Mazda GLC that was predominantly used by me in highschool.
Then I bought a 1994 Toyota Tercel when I went to university in 2002, and drove that for six years. Then bought my current vehicle, a 2009 Toyota Yaris, and have been driving that ever since.

3. 1995 Toyota Camry that I got for graduation in 2009. It was a great car! We now have a 2008 jeep patriot and a 2008 Nissan Titan. I guess you could say two because my name isn't on the jeep.

I learned how to drive in my grandparent's VW bug, but Herbie wasn't actually mine.
1993 Nissan Sentra (I heard from the coworker I sold it to that Old Blue just made a trip to Vegas and back without any trouble! Made my day!)

I've owned two cars-a 2000 VW Beetle and a 2006 Mercedes E350. My bug was such a cute car but I figured it was time for a more grown up car (that wasn't bright green) once I finished graduate school and started my career.

97 Ford Mustang, sold it when we moved to the UK
97 Mercedes C240, rear-ended and totaled
98 Honda CRV, will be selling in about a month to move back home
Ill be driving an 06 Nissan Maxima when I get home, so that will be #6.

2. I had a 2001 Toyota echo in high school and university and for a year after. Then I got a 2009 Toyota matrix I've had for 2 years now. I realllllllllly want a small SUV though!

I'm on my first, a 2011 Nissan Versa. Prior to that, I drove my husband's 1999 Jeep Cherokee Sport that he had in college. I loved that thing, but we were rear-ended by a semi-truck last year and it totaled the car (even though we could drive it;the frame was basically in pieces).

The car I have now I purchased myself after moving back to the US from abroad in 2010. It is a 2006 PT cruiser.
Before that, I just used family cars. Though my last year of college, my brother moved to the same area and I "shared" his car....a lot.

'96 Pontiac GrandAm (my first car)
2001 Oldsmobile Intrigue ($1000 beater)
2000 GMC 3500 pickup (a family member gave it to us- it's another beater)
2002 Buick Rendezvous (salvage-titled beater for when we needed a family car, but had no money)
2005 Jeep (the only decent vehicle we've had since we've been married and the only one we've made payments on :-/)
Oh, and the 1972 Chevy Scottsdale we bought as a beater farm pickup. I love that thing.
I guess that's only 6, but that's not including Farmer Man's Chevy pickup that was his first car and he still owns.

I have no idea of the years on my first two. I was in college and my parents helped me buy them.
1. Mercury Couger - it had throttle issue and liked to go when I wanted it to stop.
2. Mercury Sable - it had e-brake issues and liked to stop when I wanted it to go.
3. 1998 Ford Mustang - first brand new car I purchased. Loved that car.
4. 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix - I miss it a bit now. My current car doesn't have the power.
5. 2013 Ford Escape. Loving it for both me and Baby A

I only had mine for 2 years, but I did love it. My parents kicked me off their insurance and it was like $5000 a year to insure. Traded it evenly for the Jetta. I guess 4 doors suddenly means you're a trustworthy driver.

1. 1997 Mazda Protege - my very first car that I paid for completely myself!
2. 2008 Mazda 3 - DH and I bought after we were married since my Protege was costing more in repairs than it was worth!
We also have my DH's 2003 Toyota Highlander as well, but I see that more as his car as he paid for it himself before we were married!

Too many.
-1996 Hyundai Elantra. First car. Stick shift. Stressed my parents out too much to teach me to drive whilst teaching me to drive stick.
-1996- Dodge Neon. T-boned and totaled.
-1992 Toyota Celica. Drove that baby into the ground (240,000 miles).
-1991 Toyota Celica. Clutch got stuck in 4th gear. Not worth it to replace.
-1998 Eagle Talon. Hated that car.
-2003 Toyota Corolla. Drove until I got pregnant.
-2013 Kia Sorento. My new mom-mobile!

I've had 2. A super old Buick my grandma gave me when I graduated from college (wasn't allowed to have one before then--even if I bought it on my own!). I just actually got rid of that car last year after driving it since 2006. Now I own a new Dodge Journey. Hubby has an M5 that I really want to drive, but alas, I can't drive a stick. He'd teach me if I asked him, but with kiddos...just not much time!
