I'm a terrible sleeper while pregnant! It's hard for me to fall asleep and stay asleep despite exhaustion, even with Unisom! Lately I'm getting around 7 hours with a wakeup to pee. Last night I slept from 9:30-5:15 straight through and it felt amazing! I think I could use 8 hours but between DS2 getting up early and my tossing and turning, it's rare.
How much sleep do you get while pregnant?

Now at 34 weeks I'm getting between 7-8 hours a night with one wake up to pee plus I wake up to change sides probably 3-5 times a night.
Since I'm still on modified bedrest I try to sneak in a cat nap every couple of days too.

13 weeks. At least 8-9 hours. I go to bed usually by 10 (sometimes 1030 at the latest) and try to get up 630-7. I've definitely gone to bed at 9pm though. I always wake up 2-3x a night. I go to bed approx. 10:45-11:30 not being pregnant. Luckily my 2year old usually doesn't wake completely until after 6:30 except she usually wakes up briefly and makes some noise at some point (4-6am) and that contributes to one of my wake ups.

I took half a unisom last night so I could sleep. I slept 10-6:30 and it was amazing. I got 2 times (so a good night) to go to the bathroom. Without the unisom I get like maybe 5 hours of broken sleep.

Since week 10 - about 3-5 hours of BROKEN sleep. I counted - I get up on average 25 times (!!!) to pee (trickles). Unfortunately, the way baby is positioned, his head is right on my bladder so the pain/discomfort is just unbearable.
Yeah. I'm so EFFIN' miserable. SO OVER THIS

@pinkcupcake: yikes! i'm scared to use a fit bit or something to track my sleep! a good night i'm up once on a bad night it's 5 times

some nights I actually start crying because I'm so frustrated. The OB is sympathetic but says there is really nothing that can be done because it's just the way he is positioned. I'm assuming it'll get worse as he gets bigger and puts more pressure on my bladder.

@pinkcupcake: how far along are you now? I'm sure his positioning will change soon, and hopefully give you some relief! Do you try unisom at all?

In the first trimester, I slept all the time! 1-2 hour nap when I got home from work, up for a few hours in the evening, then to bed for 8-9 hours.
I quit the naps once I got into the second tri but tried to keep up on my nighttime sleep. In my third tri I'd have to get up to pee and reposition, but could usually get back to sleep fairly quickly. But by the end of the pregnancy, I just go so uncomfortable by the end of the night, so I went back to napping 1-2 hours after work, staying up a bit, sleeping 5-6 hours with a couple wake ups and then up for the day. It really helped to divide up my sleep since I got so sore after lying in bed for a few hours.

I'm a TERRIBLE sleeper... I've recently started taking half a Magnesium at dinner and have gone from 2-3 wake-ups to one on average... it's glorious.

Not enough. Probably 6-7. I could use the full 8 but I also like to do stuff at night once H goes to bed.
