They either haven't started, are currently trying, or have 2 - some with plans for more.

3 is the norm. People nod knowingly when I say we want 2, and always tell me we will change our minds. The only way we are getting to 3 is if the next pregnancy is twins!

1-3. Some are not done yet. I have 2. I grew up a wanting 1, switched to 2 after DH and I talked about it and I realized my reason for 1 was not rational. Now I'm considering a third.

Generally 1-2 with 2 at most. Many now are in the process of adding a 2nd like we are.

Most people we know have 2, although my really wealthy friends have 3. We live in Northern California where cost of living is pretty high, so having 3 has become the new status symbol because it means you can afford them!

2, but many aren't done! Or at least haven't said they're done!

2-3! Thought the two families we get together with the most have 4 and 5!

Just one, but it's because most of our social circle is made up of people who became parents around the same time that we did! We are the third in the group to have a second child.

Out of DH and I's closest friends, 0, 1, 1 & 7.

@Truth Bombs: he he. My brother and his wife tried for a second (and last baby) and are also getting a bonus baby!
Most people I know have 0-2.

We have a healthy mix of 0-2. I'm 3 years older than my DH, so Most of my girlfriends have 2 while most of his friends (we;re all friends now but you know what I mean) have 0 or are newly pregnant.

Between 0 and 3, although the only family with 3 was a result of twins. I think most will end up with 1-2. Sadly, all of my friends who actually live near us still don't have kids. We are all in our mid-30s.

A wide range but most people my age already have 1 and either just had 2, pregnant with 2, or def planning on 2 soon (like me).

Most have 2, and are done having children. There are a few that have 3. And only one couple that has 4 kids.

Friends in the Northeast: 0-2, with most planning on stopping at 2.
Friends in the Midwest: Average is 3.

Most of my friends have two or are pregnant with their second. I have one friend who is planning to have a third and one who wants a third, but her husband says no. It seems rare in my group for people to have more than two kids.

0-3. Most have 1-2, but I have a few with 3 kids and several friends who don't have kids yet.
