It took us a while to even come around to having a 2nd baby. Lol
I never say never but I'm pretty sure 2 is my limit.

Being a SAHM to two is really hard some days! I don't know how I would get out of the house by myself with 3!

We could probably make 3 work but would have to make a lot of lifestyle changes. I actually don't think I could handle a third pregnancy with two little kids though!
I say this while I anxiously await #2... Any day now would we great.

Right now, my 3m twins are enough. I'll have to see in a few years, how I feel about a 3rd.

2. I'm a SAHM to a high-need toddler who is still not sleeping through the night... I have no idea how I'd be able to handle more than two!

I think 2 (what we have now) but we could maybe do 3 if there was a big gap. I'm only 31 so maybe but I think we are done.

Three will be my max I think! Having a threenager and an early onset terrible twos right now is giving me a run for my money (SAHM here) - I'm hoping a lot of the crazy passes before baby #3 arrives in June or I'm pretty sure I am going to be absolute batshit crazy half the time! Regardless, three is our max regardless of circumstances!

4 probably. We're done at 3 though It's really hard to find a house big enough for us now.

2 in terms of physically carrying a baby. We are pretty sure we're done after LO2 arrives, (like I'm not getting pregnant again), but we've always been open to adoption so perhaps later on we might consider fostering or adopting an older child.

2 is my max. I solo parent most of the time and have this rule that I shouldn't have more children than I have arms/hands to hold/wrangle them.

I'd love 3 but realistically I sometimes struggle with my 1 so I'm going to guess my limit is 2.

I think I'm going to be good with 2. If it was just babysitting? I can do 4 or 5 but all day every day including bedtime? 2 will do

I have no idea. Will see how it goes. Definitely not an area I want to go overboard in!
Conceptually maybe 4? Hard to say, right now we have 1!
pear / 1930 posts
It depends on the mix! Four is my ideal number, six is his.. but we're too old/don't have enough money. But I would stop after #2 if it was a second girl. We both agree we would have a hard time handling three girls!

8-10. In my ideal world, I'd just be surrounded by my babies the rest of my life. A big pile of kids.
persimmon / 1339 posts
Definitely, definitely only 2. Still deciding on #2 right now. A friend from University just had her 5th and she is in absolute heaven...not my scene though!

1! I'm only 8 weeks postpartum so maybe I'll change my mind later, but at this point I'm in awe of anyone with more than one child!

2. I can't handle being pregnant again and my DS gives us a run for our money. I would never want more than 2. If we ended up with 3 somehow in sure we'd survive... But barely.

In an ideal world with space, money, and outside support? I would say 4 - it's what I always wanted.
In my actual world where I WOH and already feel spread thin? 2 might be pushing it...I guess we'll find out!

If we had a bigger house, could afford for me to stay home and keep them in daycare full time and sitters on the weekend and still go on nice vacations etc then maybe 3-4? The thought of that still kind of freaks me out though so maybe not..
grapefruit / 4187 posts
@MrsGeePerez: I felt the same way you did pp! It gets way easier with time so you might change your mind
nectarine / 2834 posts
I could handle 4 as long as they were spaced nicely (meaning one if not two school 5 days a week). I'd like 4 but DH can not be convinced to go past 3.
pomelo / 5791 posts
4 is my max. DH says "3 with the possibility of a 4th, depending on who the third is" lol
