I think my in-laws are content with anything! To be honest, I think they were content just being grandparents to our dogs, but they're pretty thrilled about us having kids too.

My mom apparently does not think 2 is enough because she was telling me yesterday how I should have 3. (The first two aren't even here yet!) She had 4 kids though and is one of 8 kids so I think she just loves big families.

At this point, I think they'd be happy with one, lol. Haven't discussed it (they don't know we're TTC), but I doubt they really care, just as long as their grand kids are happy and healthy.

My dad said 3....2 girls and 1 boy (yes, he was that specific!). We are thinking 2 and done.

My mom wanted me to stop at 2 - I think because she found 3 really hard personally and was trying to "save me"? I dunno. I think she might die if we go for 4 lol I don't find 3 is hard at all.

My MIL on the other hand, I think she's good with whatever we can give her ...

Wow, I have no idea! It isn't a subject that's ever come up. Both of our families are thrilled with the twins recent arrival & probably wouldn't dare even broach the subject any time soon!

no idea about my in-laws. my parents think 2 is a good number, since that's what they had! my brother wants more (like 4) and my parents are kind of bug-eyed about that

They have never said. Neither have the IL's.

My parents know better than to make comments about the size of my family, lol. My MIL, not so much.

No idea. I have been very vocal that this will be our only biological child. DH and I both grew up as (mostly) only children- we both have half siblings, and while I am close to mine they are almost 20 years older. I know my mom understands why I only want to do this once and no one else has raised their opinion in front of me.

My parents think 2. (How many they had! Haha.) FIL just goes with the flow. MIL would want like 20. Seriously. But, she just talks about how great "big families" are, whatever that means. (Probably means like DH's family, so....6 kids.)

My MIL doesn't seem to think 2 is enough, she had 3 and when we talk about the next being the last, she ignores it and says well when you are actually done...as in have a 3rd. Not saying it could never happen, but probably not, I think I would be happy with 2

I don't know. I think my parents are happy each time a new baby comes around but don't have expectations for how many we should have. I know they wanted us to have at least one because one of my sisters doesn't have kids and they always seem to express regret over it (but totally respect her decision). My guess is that my mom thinks 2 will be more than I can handle!

My mom wants us to have 3! That's how many I hope we have. My mom and I are really close so she doesn't say it in an annoying way. And I find it sweet because I'm an only child but now my mom is all excited about lots of babies.

Mil probably didn't want us having kids at all, my mom on the other hand wants us to have 6 kids... lol!

My parents and ILs have never said a number. I think we've said we think 2-3 and they all seem happy with that number...but they've never said a specific number.

When I was in the midst of ppd and said I only wanted one, they didn't seem to love that idea although they were ok and accepted it. I honestly still could be happy with only one but we're going to try for another.
