I don't have a car payment (but my car is going on 9 years old), and DH still has 4.5 years on his.

0 for both of us! Yay! Mine's a 2013, but his is a 2003 that has needed lots of repairs lately, so in he next year or so it might be time to buy new and then we'll have a payment. Boo.

A lot. Lol 4 years or so on my car. Just got it last year and we have super affordable payments. DH does the bills so I can't remember how many months.
DHs brand new truck he bought when he was 19 WOULD have been paid off by now had we not been forced to refinance. The payments were $800 though before. So I'm not sure if we would have been better off!

None We only have one car and I bought it outright in 2010. However with upcoming (possibe) moves and job changes we might not be able to be a one car family anymore, in which case we'd get something new (or new-ish), and keep the current one as a commuter car.

0!! We have 2 vehicles and bought them both outright (after saving for them...definitely didn't have that kind of money just sitting around).

Currently, none, but I'll proabably be in the market for a new car next year. Happy and sad.

Just paid mine off in May and DH finished his in August. But he drives a 2 seater pickup, so even though it's only three years old, we'll probably have to trade it in once I go back to work so there's room for the baby in whichever vehicle ends up having to pick her up from daycare.

We're supposed to have through September 2015... so about 24 I guess? But we've been making extra payments so we should have it paid off by the time the baby comes in May!

None! We had paid off our 2005 car sometime in the past two or so years. Then Hurricane Sandy flooded it. So we replaced it with a similar 2005 vehicle with half the mileage. We've probably put on close to 25,000 miles in a year now? Yikes.

6 but then we have to turn right around and get DH a new one:(

18! but it's our only car, so we'll likely be looking into getting another one soon. probably wont go new though!

A lot but I just bought my car last year. I LOVE my new CRV!
ETA: Oh, I'm so mad! A rock flew off a construction truck on Friday and there's now a crack in the windshield! I got the license plate from the truck so hopefully it shouldn't be too bad. Still annoyed.

0 on both, thank goodness because we would be bankrupt if we had another monthly bill!

@MsMamaBear:
i have no idea! maybe another year left? we bought DH's car cash, but it needs to be replaced within the next year so then we'll have a payment on his
watermelon / 14467 posts
0! We purchased it with cash. We might need to be a two car family though, so we will have a small payment since we won't be buying new.

Quite a few, we just traded in my (paid off) car for a new one on Saturday! DH's is paid off and I feel like we got a really good deal on my new car. I'm pumped.

About 5. But of course, the car needs a new catalytic converter, and it's a Volvo. So, $3000. So, nope. Hopefully it'll be good otherwise until the current emissions tag runs out in 2015, and then we can buy a new car. I think we'll just keep putting the payment in savings to have a nice down payment for the next one.

None, we share a car and paid cash for it. We're hoping not to have to get another car after the baby arrives, but if we do I'm REALLY not looking forward to that expense.
