We only expected a couple - there are only 8 kids in our small neighborhood, with not really any others nearby, plus it rained all day. Surprise! I think we got about 30-40! Glad we bought a lot of candy. They were all so cute - I love trick or treaters! How many did you get?

0. hubs turned the light off without me knowing. Sneaky! I would've loved to see all the cute little kids in costume. i kept wondering why no one came to our house until he told me this morn.

Probably about 10. I'm glad we got that many but I would have liked to see more!
We did meet our new neighbors and their 18 month old daughter though!

Quite a bit. I only have 6 pieces of candy left. There was a bunch more last year though.

none! it isn't as common in nyc, unless you live in an apt building that organizes it, and we live in a college student neighborhood without many kids. last year we had one kid.

We had probably 10-15 pass our house after we ran out, and after we turned off the lights someone knocked at like 8:30.@MrsF: We met a new neighbor with a little girl as well! I'm glad G will have another girl on our street, it's been boy central since we moved in!

Probably 50+? We had 3 buckets full of candy and only ended up with about 10 pieces left over. They bring truck beds full of kids into our neighborhood! I feel like there were more last year though.

We had a neighborhood party before and I saw more kids there, still a small neighborhood. Our neighborhood is a big P so I think most stayed in the circle part since they live there. We are right in the beginning.

Uhhh...we went through over 150 pieces of candy and mostly gave out one piece per child...

close to 20. more than we expected! i was a little disappointed because about half of them didn't wear costumes...

I heard ToT was popular in my neighborhood around 30 years ago! We went to a friend's party but MIL got 1!

Only about a dozen and half of them were teens not in costume! I was so bummer.

@grizz: We had a LOT! I had to turn off our lights halfway through because we took our LO up the street for 5 minutes and left our candy bowl on the porch. When we came back everything was gone!

About 75, but that was much less than we've had before because it was so rainy.

About 2 dozen? We had two or three groups of about 6 kids and then a few more came in pairs.

Probably about 50. I started with two pieces each and had to go down to one after about 45 mins.

We had 3-4 groups I think. Which is super weird as we live in a kid filled area with 2 elementary schools each just a few minutes away. However we live in a condo complex so you have to walk down a driveway to get to all the doors. The complex got together and lined the driveway with our pumpkins, had a fire pit and a BBQ so we thought we'd have lots more.

We were probably over two hundred, we gave out 1-2 pieces per kid for the most part and went through three large bags. We live in a super walkable area and a lot of people from the city caravan in to go tot-ing here.

We live in a popular Halloween neighborhood. Everyone on our street really gets into decorating and for a week before there is so much spooky noise on our street it's kind of freaky.
Because of this it drives people into the neighborhood. I would say about 300 or so

Our doorbell rang 3 or 4 times total. I told one of the older girls that she was only the second person and she said the other side of the street (across a busier street) was hopping. I think my side it all babies or grandparents... Hopefully when lo is older it'll get more active.

I'm going to estimate around 70. Usually we have more. Not sure where all of our usual trick-or-treaters went.

we got about 6 and they were all teenagers and literally took then entire bag out of my neighbors hands... Rude!

4 and I had to open the door and ask them to come to our apartment! AND i had to remind them to say "trick or treat." Really??

We had 20 which is about the norm. We live on a side street and most kiddies bypass us. I was surprised to get that many cause it was raining all day and night.
