Too much; however, I'm using Easter as an excuse to buy his stuff for summer - life jacket, puddle jumper, swimsuit, etc. In terms of toys - he's getting a book, horse stable toy, and 2 Sesame Street cars. Probably less than $30 thanks to Amazon Deals.

Just some candy I think. And empty eggs. I think he will just love searching for eggs! He will have just turned 2. Maybe a book?
Growing up we did a hunt for chocolate and at the end was a small gift do reach of us.

@LovelyPlum: it's a good excuse to get a few special treats for us! Feels like being a kid! Once I got dh one of those giant Reese's eggs - he was so excited!

We dont do much for Easter...in future years I can see us using it as a reason to gift them essentials for a trip to sunny climate...
This year K (2.5) is getting some candy and maybe I'll get her one gift (her little sister will have just arrived...so might spoil her). I have spent $10 on the basket, candy and eggs so far. So I will keep it to under $25 even with the gift.
Nothing for DD2 this year (3 weeks old likely and clueless) but next year I'll do something. Maybe get them both nice baskets...which will take most of the budget!

@sorrycharlie: DD1 loves those blind bag surprises and also surprise eggs. She will pick those over a bigger, more expensive toy item so I am happy to buy them.
This year is special since it's her first Easter as a big sister so I'll spend about $75 for each basket. Little sister will get books and clothes.

@sorrycharlie: @Kimberlybee: Where do you buy the surprise eggs? I have never seen them at Target!

@daniellemybelle: oh they are not really the kinder chocolate surprise eggs that she sees on YouTube. It's a surprise egg or plastic container with toys or stickers in them. We get them from Party City.
