One stamp was only 39 cents in 2006 when I got married!
The price is going up again on 1/27 to 46 cents.. get your Forever stamps now!

I think... about 59? 62? I can't recall! I'm in Canada and was able to buy the cheapest stamp, didn't have to get the one for heavier stuff.. I *just* squeaked under.

42 cents (2008). We used forever stamps so we were able to use them for our TY cards when the price went up

45 cents, and I was somehow able to keep it right at 45 cents for mailing, too! We used vintage stamps (pap smear stamps being one kind we found...) so quite a few ended up going out with more postage:

@ms.janedoe: I love your stamps! I have a bunch of stamps left over from my wedding that I didn't use, and I have to collect enough small postage to equal the soon to be 46 cent rate. My bills are going to look crazy.
@autumnlove: Can you believe that when I got married, Forever stamps didn't exist yet?

@ms.janedoe: just curious, but did any of your vintage stamps (such as pap smear, LOL) have a higher market value than the face value of the stamp?

Thanks, ladies! They were super fun but a LOT of work. I got them at a stamp show and had to dig each and every one out one...by...one (NOT counting the pap smear stamps and the man on the moon stamps, I was able to get a couple sheets of those). Some of them were just hilarious...and some were a little politically incorrect. People loved 'em!
@T-Mom: You know, I'm not sure. I don't think any of the ones that I got/used were really worth much at all because they were literally single stamps that were dumped in a giant container. Had they been in mint condition in sheets, maybe?
