I just made her one myself so I think I spent like 10$ total for everything? I did a separate cakesmash session with a different cake, and I wasn't totally satisfied with how that turned out, but I loved the one I made for her actual party! Glad I had a test run!!!

for LO's first birthday i think i will either make a cake (~20-30$), or buy a round cakeof some kind at costco, take off the cheesy 'decorations' and re-decorate it in a more modern/stylish way --

I ordered a smash cake and 24 cupcakes (all gluten and dairy free) because I didn't want to mess around trying to make it myself and have them taste terrible. She did a rosette cake with a fondant plaque for the smash cake and fontant medallions on each cupcake for $100. It was worth every penny to save me the stress and I'd say that is mid-high for our area.

I'm getting a 10" cake for my daughter's christening and it's costing about $60 - which seems the least expensive in my area as all the other bakery estimates were $90-$130! Craziness!!

We just went to Safeway. I loved the way they turned out.

I'm planning on using our wedding cake maker for hers, I'll be doing 2 small smash cakes (1 for photo shoot, 1 for party) and a large sheet cake for everyone else. It will be around $80 which is super cheap!

$250. More expensive than I wanted to spend, but it was a good cake 6 inch on top of 8 inches.

I'm gonna have to make her a cake because she's allergic to flour, eggs, and milk. Poor girl, whatever I made, I hope it's edible! BTW, I don't bake so ... yeh. Haha!
As for the cake we'll serve, idk, maybe we'll just buy one from the bakery or have BIL bake one for us. He's an awesome baker!

$100 for a two tier cake (I'll upload pic when I get home). I got a great deal at a local bakery.

We are spending around $400 for cake, cupcakes, etc. I think it's high but the lady does good work. And how many times does my sweet baby turn 1.

After getting the runaround from two local bakeries, I'd was short on time and just ordered a 'whatever' cake from the supermarket. I was expecting an ugly white sheet cake. They actually made it pretty cute considering (48 hours notice, I told them 'winter wonderland' theme). I was very pleased.

I think we paid around $50.00 for a sheet cake with fresh fruit in the middle. Not too bad for our area.
