I hope my 2 year old only has a few months left in diapers. I would love it if she was done by 2.5!
I still have a long way to go with my 9 month old!

We'll probably start training late this year when he's 2! But we'll be TTC again later this year too, so I'm sure diapers are in my life for the forseeable future!

Xander's only 11 months, so at LEAST another year - probably more!

Hopefully less than a year! He is 2 years old and I don't see the end in sight, but I would like him potty trained by 3.

I have no idea. I know that it's hard to potty train the first kid especially boys. He's in 4's right now. I just ordered a size up on my S&S for nighttime diapers. He's also 27 lbs, so he's got another 10 lbs to go in his current diaper size.

M is only 16 months so... a year? A year and a half?
Then there is the issue of hopefully having more children so ... forever

Hopefully only a few more months! But realistically I would go potty training boot camp in the summer. She's almost 22m and we're going to start sending Pull Ups to daycare.
I want her "trained" before #2 arrives!

I have no idea. I'd love it if it were only 6 months, but it'll probably be at least a year.
PS--Both of my parents independently claim that I potty-trained myself at 18 months. I'm so jealous of them/myself

I'd like to have him trained at 24m. I think we will start at 22m. I doubt he will show any interest prior to that, but if he does, all the better!

We were hoping to do be done with them before DD2 arrives, but the pediatrician said not to force it for at least 6 months after the baby.

@BabyBoecksMom: so if it doesn't happen before #2 arrives not to do it for at least 6m after?

WEll LO is 16 months, so maybe another year (hopefully less, she's really interested in the potty) but then we will hopefully be having #2 next year. So we have lots of diapers still in our future.

@locavore_mama: Well, he said not to force it (or pacifier weaning) since toddlers tend to regress when a baby arrives.

I'm hoping to have LO out in 6 months (she just turned two). we're TTC #2 so we'll likely have a break but then be back to the newborn diapers eventually.

I dont know! I dont see an end in sight with my older LO. I dont even know where to start with potty training!

I'm going to guess about a year! but by then we should (hopefully) have number 2 so I doubt I'll get a break from diapers for a while yet.

Hopefully, 8-9 months max. She's 2 in April and we want her trained before the end of the year.

@locavore_mama: I've also heard of kids regressing back into diapers after their sibling was born(DH was one of them)
I'm going to see if DS(21 months) shows interest, but honestly, I had no plans to until he's closer to 3
DD is only 6 months...I've thought about trying to train them both at the same time(my mom did it with my brothers, who are not twins -17 months apart). We'll see

I'm in absolutely no rush, I love the convenience! Ideally over the next year, but I'm all for going slowly. My nephews has a much easier time closer to 3 than they did at 2.5.
pineapple / 12053 posts
Hopefully just another year! We've already started sitting her on the potty to get her comfortable with it. But she hasn't yet gone in it! (She's 13 months)

He's 22 months, but I don't see it happening anytime soon. I'm just hoping for him to be done with diapers by 3.

LO turns 2.5 next week and we are down to only diapering during sleeping times (2/day). I'd like to try to get rid of the nap diaper in the next couple of weeks. Unfortunately, she's not waking up dry from nap consistently and definitely not from nighttime.
I know she can hold her bladder for up to at least 4 hours, she's done so.

We will be potty training in earnest in March, and I would love it if my DS was out of diapers by the summer, but who knows how it will go...

DD will be 2 in April, and I really want to potty train this summer -- maybe July? I'm a college professor, so I get really busy during the academic year. The summer is an ideal time for me to focus on big parenting "projects" like potty training. Let's just hope that DD's schedule is in line with my own...
grapefruit / 4903 posts
Too long! I'm assuming at least one more year since LO is 14 months.
pomegranate / 3414 posts
DS is 17m right now and I'm going to let him lead on this (unless DH steps in). DD trained at 2.5yo so I'm hopeful he'll follow suit.
cantaloupe / 6059 posts
Probably at least a year and a half with DS. LO 2 isn't born yet so we're looking at diapers for the next 2.5 - 3 years here.
It makes me glad we invested in cloth! That's a lot of diapers to buy!
