Depending on the week and what is going on......
I go once a week, and spend about $150 for 2 of us.
(take into account I am GF so my bread is $6 a loaf, $5 if I can get on sale then I stock up!) we also eat mostly vegetarian, but my DH buys meat at costco.
Once a month it will be bigger, closer to $200-$250 for staples- flour, sugar, coffee, tea, condiments, paper towels, toilet paper, etc)

Probably close to $800 a month, plus we eat out a few times a month on top of that.

600 ish
100 ish a week at the grocery store and then a costco run in there too
honeydew / 7504 posts
About $150/week between Target and the grocery store. So $600/month. GAH.

How do we spend $1000? Granted Costco bills have diapers, wipes, and formula (that is now gone) but still. I know eating healthy costs a lot but come on.
We eat out 2 times a weekend, probably too.

Around $400 a month. We go to Chinese supermarkets, ShopRite & Trader Joe's. I know for a fact that we can spend less by just sticking to ShopRite and maybe Target, but we love TJ!

Probably $650-$700 but that is only for cooking 3 nights a week plus food for the babies. The other nights we order food or eat leftovers but I didn't include the cost of ordering in that estimate.

We spend 80-90/week for 3 of us. So in 4 week, 320-360?
Eta: we do not eat exclusively organic, meat 1-2x a week, no eating out.

@Smurfette: We eat out or get takeout at least 3 meals/week, so my totals don't include that. We shop at Kroger and buy mostly generic brand stuff. And nothing organic except milk and eggs.

$350/month. We dine out 2 nights a week usually.
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@lawbee11: Yeah our restaurant expense isn't in our 1K either.

We spend about $100/$150 a week on all groceries- so around $400-$600/month

Probably around 1k. The kids' lunches actually cost a lot. They go through a ton of fruit and I pack Charlie an afternoon snack as well. And groceries are just so expensive here. My mom has a heart attack every time she visits!

Around $600 on groceries which doesn't include lunch out every weekday for DH.

For us 3 who eat regular food it's about $150/$170 every two weeks so $300/$340 a month. That includes all groceries and occasionally a few toiletries but we will usually do a separate Target or Amazon toiletries/diapers/household items run 1-2 times a month.
ETA: this doesn't include eating out as we will eat out maybe once a month if that. We do not eat organic.

At least $600 per month, and this does not include breakfast and lunch that both my husband and I eat out. We spend an insane amount on food.

@Smurfette: I posted a looong time ago about my grocery bill problem. We're about the same, but food costs are quite high in my city. Organic strawberries? $10.99! Ethnic ingredients are also expensive. We don't eat out a lot though (i.e., lunches/dinners)...our eating out bill is usually about $250 or so, and that's during a really busy month.
ETA: we also entertain a few times a month (dinners/brunches)

@Smurfette: OMG . . . including lunch during the work week? EEEP . . . probably $1,300ish a month. We probably spend at least $800-900 a month on just groceries, and the rest would be for lunches. And that amount doesn't include after work drinks for DH (which are a fairly regular occurrence).
ETA: It annoys me to clean out the fridge every week (for garbage day) and look at what we didn't eat! *augh*
GOLD / wonderful coconut / 33402 posts
@MsLipGloss: We waste a lot of leftovers. And I hate the amount of food I throw out cause R won't eat!

$300/month for groceries and $100/month for buying lunches at work. We pretty much never eat out otherwise.

Around $550-$600 a month but I'm always trying to cut costs. I wish it would be closer to $400/month. I think on average we spend $125-$150/wk.
This doesn't usually include diapers or those other extras. We only eat out 1-2x a month and that tends to be less than $30.
pineapple / 12234 posts
It use to be about $500 but lately it's been closer to $800-900
The cost of groceries has definitely gone up this year. The cheese we buy at Costco use to be $9 and now it's $14 - for less cheese!
We spend between $200-250 at Costco every two weeks and $100 at Trader Joe's every week.

Probably $750-1k. We buy alot of fresh produce and meats, plus we also have to buy lots of expensive "alternative" foods like coconut yogurt or egg-less mayo due to the large number of food I've eliminated for LO's sensitivities.

About $1K. I just looked through our statements for April and it was a lot more than I expected.

@sunny: No, it's at a local organic store (we don't have Whole Foods here). Sometimes blueberries are $8.99. But seriously, when they are $10.99, they taste amazing. When the price drops down to $6.49, they're just okay.
GOLD / wonderful pomegranate / 28905 posts
I think we are around $500/month although last month was higher because my family came for a long weekend.
This includes all breakfast, lunch and dinner for 2 adults and one toddler. And includes takeout which has been limited to like 2-3x a month.
I'm hoping to take it down to $450!
pineapple / 12566 posts
It's hard to say since I go to the grocery store at least every other day. I would estimate close to €800/month.
GOLD / eggplant / 11517 posts
300-400. 2 adults, a baby, a dog. We have low diaper costs and food costs because daycare provides both all week.
We also budget very tightly and don't buy off the list of our meal plan.
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
I buy all sorts of stuff at Costco, so I'll have to see how much food I actually get. But I would say about $150-200 between grocery store and Costco every 2 weeks.
I should look at my receipts.
pineapple / 12526 posts
I'd say typically about $500? Sometimes more, but I'd say that's average. 2 adults, a 2 year old and a cat.
That includes household products like toilet paler, paper towels, cat supplies, etc.
nectarine / 2504 posts
I'd say at the very least $500 a month for two adults and one picky toddler.
