My mom's mom lives in Japan, so I only saw her when I visited once in 3rd grade. And then again in college, when I studied in Japan for a semester.
My dad's mom lived about 10 minutes away and I saw her 1-2 times a week!

Both sets of grandparents lived out of state, but it was only a 3 hour drive, so we'd see them 2-4 times a year. Probably less as we got older.

They both lived out of state, about a 6 hour drive. Would see them 2x a year.

I saw my mom's parents daily when I was little. They watched us while my parents were working. We were super close and would vacation with them (with and without my parents) as well.
We only saw my dad's parents a couple of times a year. We weren't very close with them. We visited for holidays and such but always with my parents. We never spent time alone with them.

My dad's dad I only saw 5 times (well, 5 visits). He lived in Thailand. My maternal grandparents lived in the same state but we saw them maybe once or twice a year when I was really young and then more like once a year or every few years as I got older. The last time I saw my grandpa (my only remaining living grandparent), was 10 years ago at my mom's funeral. I was supposed to see him the last time I was home, but he ended up having a major medical problem and we didn't see him.

My mom's parents lived with us during the summer. We would visit them for a week in the winters and a few times they visited over Christmas. As they got older they lived with us full time rather than moving into a nursing home.
My dad's parents passed before I was born.

Prob every 1-2 weeks. But my mom's parents also watched me during school breaks.

My mom's parents: Biweekly in the summers (they were snowbirds).
My dad's dad: Not often - he had Alzheimers and died when I was 10.
My dad's mom: Maybe once a year for most of childhood since she lived across the country, then every other month when she moved to a nursing home in our state.

My mom's parents: almost all summer long when they were alive (only until I was 7 sadly).
My dad's parents: probably weekly until we moved when I was 6. They stopped caring after that so we didn't see them for a long time, I think about 7-8 years. Then my grandfather got sick when I was 18 and they suddenly wanted to be around so we saw them 1-2 times a year until he died when I was 25. My grandmother eventually lived with my parents so I would see her when I came home from college. I'm glad we were closer as I entered adulthood but I also realized how hurt I was that they stopped caring for 12 years.

My paternal grandparents all the time, 2-3 times per week. My maternal grandparents lived a few states away so maybe twice a year for 4-5 days at a time.

1-2 x per year. Once when we flew to california to see them, and once when they would come see us. We were military, so between moves we would often go for longer, and each of our cali trips (seemed like) 2-4 weeks long. Always over the summer.

We only saw my dad's parents for probably about 15 visits, ever. They lived two states away, and only travelled to us twice. They were significantly older. My grandpa was 82 when I was born, and my grandma was about 5 years younger. They passed away when I was 10 and 17.
My mom's mom we saw about 6-7 times a year, for holidays and birthdays.
My mom's dad we saw once every year or two.

A couple time a month. I wasn't close to them though and still am not. By contrast DD sees her around 4x a year and they already have a good relationship.

I had only one living set and I only saw them every 6 months or so because they were a 4 hour car ride away. They also hardly ever visited us. We weren't close.

My maternal grandmother had frequent visits; we saw her about once a month. Both of my grandfathers passed when I was young, and I wish I had more memories of them. My paternal grandmother is a free spirit and moves frequently, so I've only seen her like a dozen times in my life!

Maternal grandparents - M-F every day (they lived really close to our school.
Paternal grandparents- once a week.

My grandparents all lived in the same city about 8 hours from us. We saw my maternal grandparents twice a year for a week at a time. They visited us for a week and we visited them for a week. I felt like I knew them really well when they passed. It's part of the reason I try to go along with all the IL visits. We saw my paternal grandparents once or twice a year for a meal.

Both my sets of grandparents lived within a 5-10 minute drive so we saw them all the time! I have wonderful memories of biking to my Grandmother's place for afternoon tea after school and spending school holidays at my other Grandparent's small farm.
I hope my own children are blessed to have such a wonderful relationship with their own grandparents

Hardly ever, I can count on one hand the number of times I have visited with them.
Since I didn't have grandparents close by, it was important that my son have the experience I wasn't able to.

My dad's parents weren't local land also passed away when I was young. My mom's mom basically raised me when I was a newborn and I def saw them much more; probably every week till we moved away.

Pretty much never for my dads side. My moms side I saw my grandma probably once a month or every other month she would come stay the weekend or we would go stay the weekend there. She lived about 1.5 hrs away.
