Obviously, right away if they are poopy, but for a wet, disposable, diaper, how often do you change? I can never tell if I'm doing it too often, not often enough, wondering what's normal? First sign of a wet line on the diaper? Only before or after naps? When it feels wet?

We do what day care does, every 2 hours, unless we know she popped. Or if it has been an hour or so, and she is going down for her morning nap, I change her, since she can nap for 2 hours.

If I notice it's wet, or, at least every 2 hours (when possible), whichever is first.

OK 2 hours seems like a reasonable time (unless there is another reason to change sooner).
The most annoying is when I'm waffling on whether I should change it or not, but I do, then 5 minutes later she poops. Silly baby.

Every 2-3 hours, but have gone longer when we're out and about.

I don't do it that frequently... Every 3-4 hours, maybe?

@Foodnerd81: R does this every morning. I change her as soon as we get her up cause it has been 12 hours over night. She drinks her bottle and within 10 mins she poops.

I change as needed, sometimes up to 4 hours for a wet diaper.

He's 16 months and doesn't pee as often as when he was baby. It's probably about every 4 hours.

@Smurfette: I used to change LO immediately upon waking, but I've stopped because he kept pooping! I get him up, fix his breakfast, then check for poop and change. If it's only 10 minutes, can't hurt, right?

Usually every 3 hours for dd(6 months), unless she's pooped.
DS I can go a little longer, since he doesn't pee as often anymore -
I change her before and after naps, which means about every 2-3 hours. Between her afternoon nap and her bath/bedtime routine is more like 3-4 hours, and I change her if I notice she's wet.

We use diapers with wetness indicators & I check her diaper every 1-2 hrs, sometimes more. At a minimum I change her before & after naps so that's about every 2 hours.

Probably every 3-4 hours, or as soon as I feel that he's peed.

@Foodnerd81: that's so annoying! I usually just change her before she goes down for a nap, so maybe every 3-4hrs.

Every 2 hours for my 2.5 month old and about every 4 hours for my 16 month old.

Every 2 hours. He's coming up on 8 months old.
