Not often enough! I aim for twice a week and I'm happy if we get it done once a week.

@swedishfish: I have a major phobia about B playing in the backyard because of poop! I think the only way I'll feel comfortable with it is if I start scooping daily. My husband thinks I'm being ridiculous.

Every time he poops (so 2-3 a day) but that's because we live in an apartment building and he poops in a common space. Although I'll admit since getting pregnant/having LO I rarely take the dog out when DH is home. I didn't take him out for over a month because of my c section!

Probably not as often as we should! Generally once a week in the summer, and less than that in the crappy weather months. We are going to start working on having her go in just one little area of the yard, to make the job easier for when we have a LO running around.

Never! That's my daughter's weekly chore! She's supposed to do it each weekend, and we pay her 10 bucks. (She's 13). She's not the greatest at being consistent with it, but the dog has a fenced in portion of our yard, so there's no chance of our son getting into it when she "forgets."

We don't have kids running around so not as often. I'm the winter, once a month lol. Now, probably two to three times a week.

At least twice a day. We live in an apartment complex, and we are required to pick up after our dog.

Never but I really need to start before LO starts playing with it outside...what do you do with it? Lol (can you tell I've never lived in the city?)

Every time he poops? lol. We don't ever leave it, and he's a 4 walks/day dog, so it's often on property other than ours, so pretty mandatory we clean up as we go.

At least once a day when I take him for a run. But hubs cleans all the poop in our yard.

Whenever I take Sadie out to play in the backyard. Glad I have a little dog, I couldn't handle picking up the poops if they were any bigger!

Maybe every 2 weeks?
Our dog will only poop in the far left corner of the yard ( we call her the private pooper) so the kids know not to go down there

Before a party. I don't feel the need to do it more often because I don't spend much time in the backyard.

We live in a condo building with no outdoor space, so every poop gets picked up immediately.
We had a house and backyard growing up, but didn't get a dog until we were all grown, so I don't really know how it's handled! I don't want the baby or young child in a backyard with dog poop! I'm thinking when we get a house we will designate a certain spot where it can be done. As sad as this is, my old dog will probably pass away before we get a house, so we will be training a new one then anyway.

Every couple of days. It needs to be more! We don't play in the backyard often tho. The neighbors dogs scare N.

Every time she poops. We walk her since she refuses to poop in our yard.

Every time she poops since she uses a pee pad and we have a routine that involves picking up her poop and rewarding her right away. Plus she is disgusted by her own poop.

Rarely ever in the winter, unless we are outside of our property. When it is warmer, maybe once a week, sometimes more if we are in the yard.

They mostly poop when I walk them, so I pick it up every time. If they do poop in the side yard, I pick it up once a day, when we get back from their walk, since I already have the bag with me.

I wish I could say every day but this is one task I just don't have a handle on! Maybe once a week? Im like you, I have a major phobia about E going near anywhere the dogs have pooped/peed - I even worry about her crawling round the house where their feet have been (feet that have been near their poop/pee!) - so we made a little fenced off dog run for them..... I still hate it though. I feel like the entire garden is tainted!

Right before we cut the grass :). Or in the spring after all the snow thaws...that's a large task I think next year we I'll try I keep up with it more in the winter
