I have such a difficult time answering this! I'm 17 weeks, which means I'm through the 4th month and into the 5th. So do I say I'm 4 months? 5? I realize I'm totally over thinking this!

I usually just said how many weeks along I was, unless I had just recently passed a month milestone.
I'm 37 weeks now, so I just say, "full term" when people ask. If I say, "Just over nine months," people (especially men) are baffled as to why I'm still pregnant.

I found that most people were confused by weeks so I'd say something like ..
I'm in my second trimester..
Or
Baby should be here after Christmas.

I still don't know how to answer in months. I just say weeks. Or now that I'm towards the end, I'll subtract back counting my due date as 9 months, even though it isn't really accurate. So I'm 33 weeks and I say I'm 7.5 months pregnant, since I'm due in a month and a half. But really I'm more like 8 months, since you are sort of pregnant for 10...
Ha, does that help??

I have this picture saved on my phone and refer to it constantly! I can never remember how many months I am based on weeks. I am 31 weeks, so I say I am 7 months pregnant. Once I am 33 weeks I'll probably say I'm 7 1/2 months pregnant, etc. I am technically in my 8th month, but when people ask my age I say I am 27, not in my 28th year, you know?

I go by my work calendar because we follow the 5, 4, 4 schedule (month 1 has 5 weeks, month 2 and 3 each have 4 weeks, repeat). Right now I am 25.5 weeks so I tell people I will be 6 months on Tuesday. If you follow this schedule then it makes sense when people say you are pregnant for 9 months because 9 months would be 39 weeks.
ETA: So for you, I would say you are almost 4 months because 18 weeks is 4 months.

I'm glad I'm not the only one confused! I'm trying too hard not to confuse others by telling them weeks or the wrong month.
@lawbee11: Their calendar is so weird, every other site has week 13 as the beginning of the second trimester!

That picture is confusing me - shouldn't you be in the 3rd trimester by week 27? (40 weeks/3 = 13.3 weeks/trimester).

I go by weeks. Last pregnancy I went by months because it just seemed easier. But now that I have a LO I say her age in months instead of years, so I think I'm used to doing it that way.

I'm 17 weeks too, but I go the date on the calendar. According to my dating scan, my LMP was February 20th, my EDD is November 20th. I'll be 4 months pregnant as of June 20th. Right now I just tell people I'm almost 4 months. Because it gets hella confusing with the whole 9 calendar months/10 lunar months thing, so I just stick with calendar months.

I count back from my due date. I'm due August 23, which I've declared is 9 months (since most months don't have only 4 weeks, I refuse to be pregnant for 10 months), so June 23, I'll be 7 months. I think of it like birthdays. You aren't 1 year old until you've completed your first year.
