DD threw up in the car and I washed the cover - so that smells fine but the straps still smell horrible!! Every time I open the door I smell throw up! gross!
I tried cleaning them with hot water and then febreeze but it didn't work!

That's the worst! For pet throw up on our rugs I soak the spot with vinegar and then completely cover it in a thick coating of baking soda. Leave it overnight or until totally dry and then vacuum it up. Not sure if it will work on the straps but maybe worth a try. Good luck!

@Mamaof2: Just water at first, then if that doesn't get the smell out, then you might need to add a few drops of dish washer detegent (it doesn't foam) to the water.
