I voted alright! Sure there are hard times, but it's fun. I wouldn't say it's easy, even with a relatively "easy" child.

I wonder if the answers are different depending upon if the parents work or not outside of the home, and the number of children certainly added a difficult factor for me.

Parenting J1, working full time, piece of cake. Parenting J1 and J2 and being totally immersed motherhood, not getting away everyday, planning their routines and schedules, was difficult.

I can't even imagine how I'm going to feel when J3 is born. We are discussing me returning to work full time at 6 months.

I said alright. I can tell you...it does get easier later on. My 6 year old is a piece of cake compared to the newborn.

My answer would've been so different before he wS 6 months but since about then I have to say pretty easy! I SAH and have a wonderful supportive husband who is home by 5 and does lots around the house and with our son. I am aware that everything is a phase and this lovely age (16m) could turn into a tough one fast though! And that adding another one will clearly ramp it up too

I said alright. With my son, he was a difficult baby, but now that he's an older toddler, he's pretty easy. We also have a 4 month old, so the sleep part is difficult, but she's overall pretty easy. Things come and go with both of them, but the vast majority is enjoyable. I agree with @Dandelion: it has gotten easier over time

Alright! Like MamaMoose said there are tough days but the good outweigh those. I am WOHM (also solo parents 4 days) to a 13 month old.

Pretty easy...but I only have one LO and she's was a super easy baby and easy toddler. I also have family close by and am a SAHM by choice. Compared to working as an attorney for 7 years it is a pretty easy gig. Sure there are tough times here and there but nothing too bad...yet. I am frightened for the terrible 3s right around the corner and so scared of handling 2 kiddos

I voted Pretty Easy. My 2yo has always been a cheerful, happy kiddo. My husband works a lot and I don't have any help, but I quit a high stress job as an attorney to be a SAHM (willingly) so I'm happy. Some days are more challenging than others, but in general, I would say I have it pretty good.

If I still worked as an attorney , it would be a different story...

I voted alright. We have really good days, and bad days. I never really think it's easy, especially since D's work schedule means that E and I only see him for maybe 10 minutes in the AM, and not at all at night. I solo parent most of the week, and I'm still learning to juggle that and a new full-time job. It's hectic, and I have to be hyper-organized, which is new for me, lol, but it's working okay so far...

Quite difficult, actually.

I have one LO, who at a year has become a full-blown toddler. Stubborn, fighting naps, rejecting food, screaming, etc. He's adorable and definitely has his good days. His disposition is generally very mild and happy but we've had some rough days lately.

I also REALLY struggle with mommy guilt. I WOH on a 75% schedule but my job is pretty demanding and all day I miss LO like crazy and then come home to a toddler-monster and I just feel awful that I can't fix it and wonder if he likes daycare better, etc.

My 9 month old is still a terrible, terrible sleeper so the sleep deprivation has been very difficult since no matter what, I have to be up at 5:30 am for work and there are no naps possible in my life.

My LO has feeding issues and that was definitely not something I anticipated. I also EP to this day and that has been challenging because I also have to follow the MSPI diet (more than 6 months now).

The 4 months straight of back to back illness because of daycare germs has been hard on us.

That all sounds awful but LO is very happy and pleasant when she's awake so still, it's alright because I don't find myself getting overwhelmed that often-- maybe 1 day a week? Sometimes I go a few weeks before having an overwhelming day. We have no family at home and my husband sometimes works long hours but when he's home, he's 100% on duty and splits everything with me equally, so I can't really complain.

Eta: we're going to try for # 2 this summer so I already know that if I am as sick as last time, I will be in hell for 3-4 months. So DH is hopefully prepared to do all the parenting during that time. At that point I will answer these questions as "VERY difficult".

I think my answer changes based on how much sleep I got the night before. All in all I voted alright but when I only had one kid I thought it was pretty easy. If I only consider the parenting aspect I would still say it's not so hard, but when I add in all the cooking and cleaning and life errand stuff I feel like I can never get it all together. I definitely agree with the posters that mentioned that it is easier as they get older.

I voted "alright." Honestly I feel like the most difficult times are yet to come.

Quite difficult. My LO is eight weeks old and we've had a lot of feeding issues. I was also a teacher before becoming a SAHM and have struggled with the lack of routine and control. DH is away 11-12 hours a day with work and our parents all still work full-time so there is not much assistance on a day to day basis.

I'm sure that things will get easier but it is a lot harder than I imagined.

I voted "pretty easy"; but that vote is just for this moment in time!!! The newborn days were HARD; but LO has grown into a really easy toddler (so far!).

My husband is a 100% involved spouse and parent, which helps so much.

The thing I find hardest, and what causes me/us the most stress is time management. Since we both work full time outside the home, everything falls to after work or weekends....so, basically everything falls to the weekends. I was home 3x a week with LO for several months and it was SO MUCH EASIER being home a few days a week and being able to do fun stuff with LO, but also get errands done, which left the weekends free to really have stress-free family time. In a super ideal world, I wouldn't mind working only 3 days a week, but that isn't a possibility with my career, and I'm fine with that. The long term benefits certainly outweigh more stressful and packed weekends now.

@tequiero21: I voted soo difficult too and I'm currently pregnant. I wonder if being pregnant plays a significant role for us? I feel like my patience is being tested constantly. I'm 39 weeks this week and while I know a newborn will be tough I'm hoping not being pregnant will make life easier soon!

I voted pretty easy. Sadie was an easy baby, is an easy toddler (so far!), and I have lots of support & help. I only have one kid & SAH, so I'm not usually being pulled in a million directions. It certainly helps that I'm an optimistic non-worrier. There are hard moments (teething - ahhh!), but on the whole, I've found parenting (and SAHP) to be really lovely.
