We took a family trip to Florida when DD was 6.5 months old and other than struggling with co-sleeping, which we had to do but that DD hated, it was alright.
We have another trip planned for January - DD will be 2.5 years old and Baby#2 will be approximately 3.5-4 months old. Eeeps. Wondering if that's too young or if it's a great age.

We have travelled quite a lot with DS. His first trip was a car trip at 4 months. He was a terrible sleeper then and it was the same during the trip. Sleeping aside, the trip was fine. Since then, he's been to 3 continents and more than 10 countries and he rolls with it.

We took Chloe to DC (my sister lives there) when she was 6 months old. She loved it! We also went to the beach when she was 9 months and she HATED it. Hit or miss, I guess!

She was 9 months, a 3hr drive to the beach. It wasn't too bad, but the car ride was rough. More of ALL the stuff she needed was the problem.lol

LO was 5 months and we took a plane to an all inclusive. it was okay, but very different from the care free vacations we were used to pre-baby. DH and I both agree that it would be better to travel with more family or another couple and we could give each other a couple of breaks. we went purposely though before LO started crawling. But now that I think about it, even though LO is mobile, he is also better at independent play and doesn't nurse as often so who knows, it might be more enjoyable to go now!

We started to driving K to Mammoth (~ 6hrs) since she was 6 weeks old. The older she got, the harder. I'm dreading drives this winter. Took her to Europe at 3.5 months & on a domestic trip (4 hours by plane) at 6 months. Honestly, I think the younger, the easier the actual traveling parts are. We're flying again when she'll be ~ 9 months and I think it will be the toughest flight yet since she is getting so active!

We went on a 8 hr road trip when DD was 3 months. I will just say it was easier than when she was 15 months.

3-4 months old is perfect for travelling with a baby - old enough to be beyond the newborn stage, but young enough where they're super easy to feed and will sleep anywhere. And they're still immobile and content to play just about anywhere. I would travel with a baby that age anytime!
We took LO on her first trip, an around the world trip, between 5.5 and 7 months old. It was easy peasy! She slept anywhere and everywhere, was still mostly EBF (plus a small bit of solids) and wasn't mobile yet, super easy. We just went to Bali with her a couple of weeks ago, at 14 months, and that was far more difficult. She was into everything, which in a developing country like Indonesia, where water is unclean and traffic laws are non-existent, was so much more difficult than our previous trips!
Once baby #2 comes along, we're planning on doing another trip within the first six months as it's just so easy at that age!

We're taking LO on her first holiday in two weeks time - just four nights down in Devon. She will be 11 weeks old. I'm super nervous because she has been in a really good night time routine for about three weeks now and sleeping like a champ - I hope this doesn't mess with her routine and ruin it forever!!!

She was six months but it wasn't really a vacation, it was a three-day dash to the UK to visit my grandmother before she died. We spent it going to and from a hospital and introducing A to her family in super quick style. We took her to Spain and England when she was nine months but I think she actually coped better at six months... the second trip was too overwhelming.

I think our first trip with DD1 was when she was either 3, 4, or 6 months.....I honestly can't remember when it was.
DD2's first trip was when she was 10 days old.

We took LO on a 6 hr car trip when she was 9 days old, then again at 8 weeks, and then 12 weeks (to my parents' place). Her first international flight will be when she's 7 months!

We flew to Boston (to see family) when she was three months. We drove 6 hours to Florida when she was 6 months. Both trips were great except for the drive home from FL. LO had her first ear infection (we actually left a day early because she was so sick) and she screamed for the first hour and a half of the drive before finally passing out.

We traveled when DD was 2.5 months old, 4 months old, 10 months old, 15 months old, 18 months old.
Our first trip as a family of 4 happened when DS was 6 months old and DD 26 months old! It was rough!

10 months on a cross country flight to see relatives with DS. With baby #2 we took a weekend trip to Monterey/Carmel and he was 6 months.
