@court_schaeff: what bloodwork did you have done? Betas? And it was negative? When is the last time you took a HPT? Bloodwork should pick it up right away but unless you were still too early when the bloodwork was done. Unfortunately if nothing is being picked up on the HCG then an ultrasound isn't going to show anything. If anything you could ask to redo the bloodwork.

I have no idea what blood work I had done. I haven't taken a t in over a week as well. When I took the bloom work it was two weeks after missed period which would have been late enough to show up right? @T.H.O.U.:

If I haven't started my period by the 27th, I am getting another blood test and/or ultrasound. That'd be two missed periods. There's just an uneasy feeling that I could be and I'm not taking any precautions. I won't be satisfied until I have my period or physically see an empty ultrasound. I'm feeling crazy

@court_schaeff: that's so weird. Did u take opks to show that u ovulated? I would definitely get an ultrasound and see if your doc can figure out what's going on!

@court_schaeff: well I think the first question would be did they even do HCG test during the blood work. But yes assuming it was a normal cycle (and therefore you ovulated normally) that timing would work and it should show up there.
What was the purpose of the testing?

@court_schaeff: The sore boobs could be a reflection of your period coming, your hormones being imbalanced... Not necessarily of pregnancy.
At the risk of sounding mean, I personally would call my gyno Monday morning and request an appointment ASAP. I would not wait until my second missed period -- I did some internet sleuthing and the chances are slim (but definitely not none) that you are pregnant. That means if you wait until the 27th you are completely skipping an opportunity (potentially 2) to TTC. Once I saw my gyno, I would accept whatever they told me and formulate a course of action - whether it be take medicine to jump start my period, do an ultrasound, or whatever.
I assume when you went to the doctor for the blood work when you were sick you said you thought you might be pregnant but weren't sure? If so, they should have run beta's (aka checked your HCG levels). HCG is pretty vital in the baby making process within your body, so it would be very strange if none was detected after 4 weeks.
Lastly, have you thought about getting opks? Some women get sore breasts around ovulation - with your period about a week away, maybe you are ovulating the second time around and just had a random non-period cycle?
All that said, I'm really hoping for the best for you! I know this has been so tough and you've been such a trooper!

@T.H.O.U.: @BakerBee: my blood test for hcg level only. They wanted to make sure I wasn't pregnant before I started my antibiotics. I have not used opks. @tequiero21:

@court_schaeff: well at that point in your cycle the hcg would have been detected if you are pregnant. Unless some fluke that you were just ovulating around CD30. Like I said before if there is no hcg being detected then there probably isn't going to be anything on an ultrasound. It's not until levels of like 8-10k that a fetal pole and baby can be seen.
I agree with others you just either need to wait for AF and chalk this up to a crazy cycle or you need to call a doctor and maybe talk about inducing your period so you can keep trying (maybe with temping and opk this time so you know when you ovulated.

@court_schaeff: I would go to a doctor. I really don't believe in symptom spotting. Because a lot of pregnancy symptoms are the same as AF.

@court_schaeff: Any updates? Hopefully your doctor was able to see you and give you some answers!
