Because I'm too busy fending off diet soda, ice cream, chips, whole cherries, whole hot dogs, and pie for my 18 month old. And my 2 month is probably bored with my breastmilk...she looks like she wants some potato salad!
Grrrr! My MIL will never listen so I think she should only babysit after meal time!

Wow! That is craziness!
We have to do some monitoring of food at the IL's but not that bad!
We just have to make sure that if they do get dessert it's not a slice the size of their head and something a lot smaller.

Oyyy...this is why I am dreading visiting MIL with LO. We are putting it off until next summer when she'll be a year and a half but then we'll have to deal with all their toxic food. This is a woman who fed my tiny dog Italian sausage after I said, in no uncertain terms, 'no!'

@swedishfish: Sometimes he tells me to relax and sometimes he supports me! He was upset yesterday and reminded her of choking hazards but she told him that she never cut anything and he is just fine!

@autumnlove: my 11 week old LOVES potato salad! I let him eat it by himself with a pointy fork and a sharp knife. And then he washes it down with a soda!
