J had an MRI this morning for his hearing loss workup. The dr asked me a lot of questions about his breathing because they planned to sedate him again, and my answers worried her enough that she decided not to even though they didn't think a baby his age could never sleep through an MRI. She felt that my description of his breathing sounded like apnea at the least, and afterward she called our ped and told him we needed to see a GI specialist right away for his reflux, and talked to us about a sleep study. She also talked about CPR, and how when I hear him stop breathing, that I need to check on him immediately.

When I got home I decided to use the Levana/Snuza thing that I just got from Amazon, and after a while it went off. I thought surely it was a false alarm since everyone says it does that, but I ran upstairs and he wasn't breathing. After a few seconds of me thrashing around, fumbling with his swaddle, and holding his mouth up to my ear he finally took a breath but you bet I will be learning infant CPR.

Just a PSA, because I have to admit all of this was the last thing on my mind as a new mom and apparently it does happen!
