Ugh, I am SO tired of fighting LO for every. single. nap. She refuses to clothes her eyes. Or she will for a second, then they'll pop back open again. When she finally does fall asleep it's only for like 30 minutes. Then she turns into a cranky mess all day. It's soooo frustrating!

How old is your LO? It will pass...i know, i hated it when people said those words to me, but it's true.
Before getting her to nap in the crib, i did whatever i could so that she could sleep - stroller-walking, ergo-wearing, or car rides for 1-2 hours. Eventually i was able to train her to sleep in the crib.

She's 16 weeks and has been sleeping in her crib since about 6 weeks. She's alwys been super alert which is part of the problem - she just does not want to shut her eyes. I have to physically block her from looking around while bouncing her. We also use white noise or music to sleep. Car and stroller rides will sometimes do the trick but still only for short periods and it's just not feasible to do it 3-4 times a day. Sometimes I can get her back to sleep if she wakes early but I have to get her at the first peep.
The past month or so she also started waking more often at night again and she always just looks so tired. Babies aren't supposed to have bags under their eyes
Anyhow I'm just venting because I feel like so much of my day is spent trying to get her to do something she doesn't want to do. This is one reason I'm looking fwd to going back to work and starting daycare!

My lo used to be like that. Then at 8 months she magically turned into a great napper. Hope your lo learns how to be a good napper too!

Have you tried winding her down about 10-15 minutes before her nap? Like turn all things down (TV, music, etc.) and read her a short board book and sing a little song. I find that sometimes helps. Sleep's always a hard one.
