CHOCOLATE!!!!!!! How unfair! hahahaha I love the stuff! Usually can't get enough. But the other day DH bought me home a chocolate bar and I took one bite and thought I was going to throw up. I tried again today and even the thought had my stomach turning... it's so bizzare! I hope that one doesn't stay too long!

When I was pregnant I had bad aversions to apple sauce and anything that smelled like fruit punch.

Ugh, I'm sorry! My big sad aversion was to bacon! Even the smell made me sick! Unfortunately it lasted all throughout my pregnancy and past...The aversion didn't fade until about 3 months pp.

Oh no!! I bet it won't last.
I had an aversion to avocados my first tri - and they were my favorite!! I could start eating them again but I don't love them the way I used too. Also had a strong aversion to salmon and still can't eat it.

Ahhh! That's the worst! I have an aversion to Sprite, which I used to love. It's the only soda without caffeine and is supposed to ease nausea, so you'd think it would be perfect for me while pregnant... but nope! I can't even smell it without feeling sick!

@Mrs squirreld: My god, count yourself lucky! I never ever liked sweets or chocolate. Like, never ate them. Now I am pregnant I want them all the time and I am turning into a massive fatty as a result

I bet you're having a boy! I've had a few friends have chocolate aversions and they always had boys!

Most poultry, especially chicken. I can eat it but it's just not at all appealing to me. Other than that, my preference are pretty much the same as pre-pregnancy.

I had an aversion to Vietnamese sandwiches when I was pregnant. SO glad I finally got over that after DD was born.

Chocolate gives me killer heartburn.
I haven't been able to enjoy it since before Christmas. It's one thing I look forward to enjoying soon after I have this baby!

I couldn't stand the idea of salad for most of the 1st trimester. I normally love salad and eat it with dinner most nights but ugh. Luckily I can stomach it again now at 14 weeks. Instead all I wanted was red meat. None of those 'healthy greens' for this baby.
There were a lot of other things I couldn't stomach, but none as sad as chocolate.

Water! I had to force myself to drink it, and very frequently threw it back up. I thank a lot of watered down juice and tea instead.

When I was pregnant, I had a strong aversion for sweets in general! I couldn't eat dessert, donuts, cookies - anything remotely sweet tasted so, sooo sweet to me! It went away near my due date.

Breakfast & Italian Sausage. I was craving pizza like crazy last week and my husband always gets pepperoni and sausage and it was killing me, just the smell was grossing me out. Also we normally have sausage and eggs on the weekend and yea we had pancakes and cinnamon rolls, I can't handle the smell to cook it either.

Coffee. I'm 30 weeks, and one sip of coffee will still result in projectile vomiting. This is extra sad since it is quite possible that I am the biggest fan of coffee that has ever walked the face of the earth. Yet, even now, my babies reject it.

@Foodnerd81: I am the exact same way! I think it is a lettuce thing for me. If lettuce is even remotely soggy it makes me want to vomit.
Also, if I threw it up during the first trimester, I have a really difficult time eating it now that I am in the second. Sadly, I threw up a lot. =(

All protein, I couldn't be near any form of meat without feeling sick to my stomach.

@Mrs. Blue: Oh yeah-- coffee was really gross for a long time. I've actually been able to drink it again, starting around week 13, but I was SUCH a huge coffee lover before. I actually thought of that one as a good thing, since it made it so much easier to cut back/cut it out completely anyway.

I have aversions to:
-coffee
-red sauces (salsa, tomato sauce, marinara, pizza, lasagne, etc)
-any kind of curry: indian, thai, I hate it all. Too bad for my south asian hubby!
-chocolate (this one is starting to get better)
-the smell of meat cooking (hate it all)
-fried onions (makes me want to murder neighbors who cook this)
-broccoli
-spicy smells---this one is hard to explain, but yeah. -
Burnt or close to burnt toast (this was the same for my Mom with me!)
Rice crackers
Coffee is hard for me, I normally drink 1.5-2 cups and I can't finish my first cup.
I know there's more but I've blocked them! -
@Mrs squirreld: I had a chocolate/anything sweet aversion for the first trimester. I was so sad! I'm now 16 weeks and craving sweets, so hopefully your aversion will go away!
