I want to go high-five a few of my neighbors!

We're on a street of old bungalows with big ol' porches, so most of our summer lives are spent outside ... I work from home, so I get to 'watch' the other mamas on the street during their day-to-day kid raising. This week, I've seen 3 of the kids on my street throwing huge tantrums, and the moms were so calm about it. No baby talk, no yelling ... just calmly letting the kid cry it out for a minute, then talking with them about it.

I'd like to think I'll have the patience/forethought to just let my kid have their moments, and handle the tantrums as gracefully as these women.
