QUESTION FOR EVERYONE....what or who inspires you?

**HUGS** to everybody! Our day will come, definitely, absolutely.

I find that I get really depressed when AF hits (because despite the fact that I've had no true symptoms, I can still convince myself I *might* have), and then start to perk up once I'm past AF hormones and start to look at the new cycle as a new chance, instead of last cycle as a failure.

My SO came home last night after being away for 3 days/2 nights and I jumped him I was so happy to see him :3. Next week should hopefully be BD time!

For people that inspire me, that would probably be my sister and my boss. My sister is currently living in another country and having the time of her life. I wish I had the courage to do that! My boss is just an all-around awesome wonder woman.

@Strawberrybee: I'm definitely at that stage where I'm perking up now because it's a new chance, and I've learned from my last cycle. I learned that my luteal phase is very good and that I ovulated earlier than the cycle before (CD19 this cycle, CD27 the one before!) I was bummed out for a bit but I am ready for a fresh start!

I think we made the mistake of skipping BDing on day 14 (though we had BD'd the previous evening, and BD'd the following morning), so I'm planning on working on that this cycle. It honestly couldn't be helped, but this cycle I'm taking that day off from work lol.

Does anyone else freak out when they KNOW they're ovulating (positive on OPK) that any moment they're not BDing is time wasted/could be missing it?

@Hanzabelle, @Chibee, @Ali: I totally get the jealousy thing. In fact DH and I just talked about this last night. A friend who wasn't supposed to get married until January and then start TTC randomly decided to get married last Friday, and then had a meeting with her OB/GYN yesterday who told her she's good to start trying. I feel like this is extra pressure on me to try and get pregnant first, and it's totally because if she gets pregnant before me I'm worried I won't really be able to be happy for her in the way that I want to. It sucks! But such is life...

@Strawberrybee: I start freaking out when we don't BD on the good days and this month we decided to just have sex every other day no matter what the monitor said and part of me likes it (less stress for DH so he has less ED issues) but part of me gets worried it won't be enough. So I get that feeling!

I'm not sure who I'm most inspired by at this moment. I used to say my mom but for the past few years she hasn't been much of an inspiration, in fact at times she has hurt me pretty badly. I honestly think that I'm just inspired by God, and not to be religious, just in a way that I want to always keep doing my best, being my best, being a better person, and continuously striving toward the top and I think much of that comes from a want to be someone God would approve of, and someone who I would approve of. I've been given a lot and I want to make use of my talents to make those gifts worth something.

Also, I just want you ladies to know, as I've been at this a bit longer than you, that there are a lot of really down moments (stupid BFN's) and a lot of times where you find it hard to have hope, but each new cycle is a time to try again, a time to have hope again, and a time to learn new things about yourself. It still sucks, but I'm glad we have each other to lean on and learn from. It would be much worse without all of you! And one day we'll all get what we want..and at that point, we'll still think all of this is worth it.

@Ali: yep temped this morning...hubby bought me some perfume and choccies to cheer me up ( gorgeous man- i love him) so its onwards and upwards)

I just realised I didn't answer my own question!!
MY inspirations is both my Dad & Australian musician John Butler.
My Dad is an amazing man who has acheived so much in his life and an amazing environmentalist who I wish I was more like. I am so proud to be his daughter.

JOhn BUtler is AMAZING..... if you ladies haven't heard any of his music...have a listen. "ocean" is by far my favourite song ever and it is an instrumental...it doesn't even need words. My DH and I love this song, it can change your mood,, inspire you.. the song is a story in itself ( I also walked down the aisle to this song.)

and if you wanna here him sing... another I keep close to my heart is "losing you"

@chibee: @ambular1025: how do i share it? just post the website link?

  16. Cherrybee

    papaya / 10570 posts

@Hanzabelle: If you go up to the top and click on share... then click on "get code". Then, under HTML codes, there is a simple link option. Copy that an paste it here (and/or in the charting thread!). That's how I did it.

  17. Cherrybee

    papaya / 10570 posts

@Hanzabelle: Finally got to listen to your videos. Wow, I really liked him. I might have to invest in some of his music for the car (I love listening to music while driving).

As for your question - well, I just don't know. I've thought and thought about it but I can't think of anyone who I'd say inspires me. There are lots of little things that people say or do that inspire me but no one person....

So I'm going to go for something abstract. The sea. just looking at the sea inspires me. I love it. It's so powerful and yet can be so gentle and calming. It's ways are governed by the moon - how mysterious is that?! It sustains us - but also has the power to flatten everything we hold dear in one burst. People look up to space, to satellites and mars missions, hoping to find answers... but down there in the depths of our oceans are things we can only dream about, terrifying creatures, cures for cancers....

So, yeah, I'm going for the sea!

@Hanzabelle: I'm at work now so I'l look at your chart and add you as a friend when I get home (in seven long hours!). DH gave me the brush off last night in favour of playing games on his phone in bed, then reading - I couldn't believe it!! I'd told him about the OPK and everything. Sulk!

  24. Mrs squirreld

    nectarine / 2522 posts

@Ali: whhhattt?! Do u need me to have stern words with him? Lol... Do you think maybe he is worried after last month?

Oh how do u add friends on ff?

  25. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@Hanzabelle: Once you're on a friend's chart you can push "Add to Friends" on the left side toolbar. I'm sure you can search for friends too, but I've never done that. I added you, so you should see something next time you login asking you to approve it. Also, you have to change your name (something I recently learned) to something we can recognize. If I remember correctly you go to the TTC forums/chat section and there's an area to "change nickname" or something like that. I had to search FF for instructions. And yes many charts look like that...all wonky, especially in the beginning.
@Ali: I'm sorry he did that. I'm with @Hanzabelle, maybe he's a little less ready to go through that situation again so soon? Have you tried talking to him about why he wouldn't BD?

  26. Cherrybee

    papaya / 10570 posts

@Ambular @Hanzabelle: He was just too tired. He has a type of athritis - it's an auto immune condition - but he can't take the meds he needs while we're TTC as they cause birth defects. This means he's in pain constantly. Another symptom is extreme fatigue which makes the BD marathon a bit of a chore for him!! In his defence, we did BD yesterday morning (and this evening, phew!) ..... I just worry it's not enough!

How is everyone feeling today? @Hanzabelle: How are you finding charting so far? Just going to look at your chart now!!

  27. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@Ali: Totally makes sense. Once a day is plenty! Heck many RE's say you can day every other day even. You'll be fine! We already know that he doesn't have a problem with fertile sperm. Best of luck!

  28. Cherrybee

    papaya / 10570 posts

@Ambular1025: Our timing was amazing last month - the day of and three days before! Fingers crossed for this month though, we've not done too bad I guess!

    nectarine / 2522 posts

@ambular1025: thanks!!! I've added all who requested me... A made my name different as I've googled my username and sooooo much info comes up! I use the same for Pinterest and everything so it kinda connects me. Eeek! So I'm thinking I'm gonna change my username on here too! Oh I'm MrsD followed by my favourite number on FF.

  30. Mrs squirreld

    nectarine / 2522 posts

@Ali: oh fair enough!! Flip there is only so much a guy can turn it on!! We haven't been a sex every day couple for ages... So th BD marathon is exhausting.... Especially when you aren't getting a BFp at the end of it... Although DH is very wary of doing the BD outside of the fertile times he's worried about wasting sperm. Lol

  31. Mrs squirreld

    nectarine / 2522 posts

@Ali: oh and charting so far is ok... Got a bit of a routine. But my chart seems crazy but I guess it will start to look at bit more normal as the month goes by.

I'm so exhausted today & feeling really off. Checked my blood pressure this morning and it is low... Waaaay low 88/43. So no idea what's going on with me... Will check again at lunch as I took my meds as I'm supposed to... Even though they lower your blood pressure.

    Ok TMI warning....

Feel free to stop reading. AF was crazy weird this month. Usually I am a 5 day AF kinda girl. Here I am on day three and I'm having really light flow. Weird. And yesterday so so heavy and so many big clots (erggh) like I cause feel some of them coming out... (I hope no one is eating dinner/breakfast) anyways is that weird? It's never happened to me before? Do u think its cause we are TTC it's like a failed implantation attempt? Maybe I'm just over analyzing? And probably over sharing... Sorry ladies!!

  32. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@Hanzabelle: I've very rarely had clots during AF, but have had one on occasion. Idk if they mean anything or not. Maybe Google it or maybe a girl will comment who knows more.

  33. Mrs squirreld

    nectarine / 2522 posts

@ambular1025: yeah I did google it- didn't really have much info... Most people were just asking the same thing!!

    P.S it's still me I just had a name change!! I was too google-able.

  34. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@Mrssquirreld: HAHA I was like, who is writing on here?! I wouldn't worry about it too much. I think it's fairly normal, and it seems like I'd read that it's just your body's way of clearing out old blood and tissue.

  35. Mrs squirreld

    nectarine / 2522 posts

@ambular1025: yeah I think I agree! Besides I'm so excited about the cycle... bring it on! - how are you feeling?

  36. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@mrssquirreld: I feel ok this cycle. I don't think I presume I'll get pregnant any cycle anymore, so we try hard but I just always assume it won't work and hope I get surprised. Jenny Renny predicted I'd get pregnant the cycle after this one, so it gives me a bit of hope. I'm right around O time, so we've been doing the deed a bunch. I'm glad you feel excited and hopeful this time!

  37. Mrs squirreld

    nectarine / 2522 posts

@ambular1025: yay for Bd time! What is Jenny renny? I've heard people talking about it- but not sure what it is?

  38. Mrs squirreld

    nectarine / 2522 posts

So according to my new calculations I'll O the night before DH leaves for a weeks training.... Lets hope I'm not later and the opk's and FF agree with me.
