@cherrybee: Aww, this is where we should all live near each other so that we could have sob Sundays or moody mondays where we could get together and whine to each other instead of our poor husbands.

i was fb chatting to my sister tonight... we aren't very close...She was saying how she can't wait til I have kids ( she has 4) She doesn't know we are trying and she said don't worry when the time comes you'll be just like me- you'll just need to look at each other and be pregnant... pfffffffffffft.
    Sulking now.

@mrssquirreld: I'm sorry. Obviously she wouldn't have said that if she knew....but it's still got to hurt. Yep testing tomorrow. I'm kinda excited and nervous all at the same time.

@marionberry: 3 out of her 4 kids were "accidents" seriously... how the hell does that happen. She claims to have got pregnant whilst on BC and using condoms.... she obviously got all my super fertileness! grrrr.. Its stupid I know.. can't help it.

I am soooo freaking excited about you testing!!!!

@mrssquirreld: I know how you feel. I think all of my stepsiblings and friends got my fertileness. And that many accidents?! Crazy. We'll get there though. I haven't had much luck with pt's in the past so I don't have too much hope.

Hi guys. Well, AF turned up this morning. Gutted.

@marionberry: Aaw, I do wish we lived near each other - I could really do with a friend who actually understood to take me out and get me drunk! DH is working tonight and I'm going to spend the evening with my 8 month pregnant friend - who will be talking about going off on maternity leave and decorating the nursery. Sigh. It took her a year to conceive but she totally doesn't get how I feel - she wasn't desperate for a baby; her husband had been pressuring her for years - he even left her over it once - and so, even when she agreed to start trying, she was in no rush. I'm in a rush, dammit!

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@cherrybee: I know how that goes! My stepbro's wife is due at Christmas and her baby is becoming like the first grandchild (even though my stepsister has one, she lives on the other side of the country) so every family party it seems all anyone talks about is her baby. Two of my friends just got married and will likely be pregnant before me (they're actively trying), and one of my best friends just had a baby. It's really hard to talk to any of them about what I'm going through. I wish all of us could just go hang out and drink every time AF hit!

And I'm the same way, I'm in a rush! DH is 51! I can't afford to wait if I want a family of more than one kid. No one of my friends (who are all in their 20s) understand what that's like.

@cherrybee: Oh and I'm really sorry about AF. I'm sure next month will be a really great one for you, with a fresh start.

@Cherrybee: *hugs to you* Next month is a whole new beginning; we can't lose hope.

@marionberry: Oh, I know what you mean. I was trying to convey my sorrow over not being pregnant yet to my sister, but she's 22 and just doesn't have the life view yet to understand what I'm going through. She thinks that charting takes the romance and mystery out of it; makes it too 'scientific' and that I shouldn't expect to get pregnant right away. With me at 33 and SO at 40, I feel like we don't have the luxury of time, and I've been waiting long enough, darn it! I also like knowing what my body is doing. I find comfort that my charts look pretty 'normal' (at least to my untrained eye).

I'm 9DPO today and don't feel any different, despite my brain playing tricks on me, so I really don't think this is our month. Of course, I'll be more than happy to be proven otherwise! And no matter what I say, there will always be that ember of hope until AF comes.

@strawberrybee: Are we chart friends? I'd love to keep track of yours. My charts are very regular too, so it makes me feel good, other than the fact that I haven't gotten pregnant with them yet. And you're right. There's always an ember of hope...I just try not to look at mine until right before I test.

@marionberry: Thanks!! I think the next few days' temps will really be telling; last cycle I peaked at close to 98 on the exact same DPO day and then started dropping. Fingers crossed!

@strawberry: Yes, fingers crossed! If it stays up, you may be on your way to a sticky baby.

Hello temp plummet. Sigh. (Time is off from normal because my husband woke me up to look at the meteor shower)

  21. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@strawberrybee: If your temp is off, don't worry too much about it being lower (because it will always be if you get up early). Can you use the temp adjuster?

  22. StrawberryBee

    nectarine / 2530 posts

@marionberry: It was only an hour and a half earlier than normal and at the same DPO drop as last cycle. With that plus no symptoms I'm really not holding out much hope for this cycle.

I hope your dr's appointment provides you with some answers and a direction in which to move in *hugs*

  23. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@strawberrybee: I'd still have faith. Since your second drop didn't drop as low as your first you're still on par for a get pregnant cycle if your temp goes back up tomorrow. Don't give up yet!

And thanks for the hug. I really wish BFN's didn't feel like a death in the family each month.

  24. StrawberryBee

    nectarine / 2530 posts

@marionberry: Thanks :). Last cycle it rose the day after and then started dropping again. My body likes to tease me!

BFNs are definitely a kick to the gut. It's hard to want something so badly and have your hopes dashed on an emotional roller coaster every month. I try to console myself by saying that it just wasn't the right time, but it still hurts!

  25. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@strawberrybee: Mine too! Ya I'm gonna look at this from a positive perspective that I'm trying to get a new job right now, and if I can get it before I get pregnant so that I can get disability started to cover half my leave that would be more beneficial for us in the long run.

  26. Cherrybee

    papaya / 10570 posts

@Marionberry: Aaw, I'm so sorry it wasn't good news today. AF isn't here yet, though, is it??

I had a "phew-thank-goodness-i'm-not" moment today when my BIL announced that they've moved the date for their wedding back - I would have been about to pop on the new date if I'd got pg this month!

  27. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@cherrybee: No, no AF yet. Probably in the next day or two I think. We'll know when the temp drops drastically. I noticed I don't have a big ovulation dip this month so I'm wondering if maybe something is up? I'm glad that there's a positive out of not getting pregnant this month for you. I'm hoping not being pregnant this month lets me get hired into my new job and maybe able to start some disability (to pay half of my salary while out on leave) before I get pregnant so that it is covered.

  28. Cherrybee

@Marionberry: Do you have a specific job in mind? Have you been offered something? Or are you looking at the moment?

  29. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@cherrybee: I did a phone interview for an amazing job and killed it. So now I'm just waiting for them to call about the in person interview which they implied I'd get. It would double my salary so I would love to get it.

@mrssquirreld: any signs of O yet? I'm stalking your chart and looks like you are close! Are you still using OPKs? I think mine will be (hopefully) positive in a day or two.

@chibee: if I don't O today I think my chances are out since I can't BD since DH is away I just hope those spermies are saying alive in there! Haven't OPK today yet but they have all been neg so far.

We couldn't pick up the glider as it wouldn't fit in our car so hoping mum can go get it( secretly) Lol

But for some positive news... We bought a new car!!!! Haven't got it yet. Have to wait about three weeks. But I'm super excited- so much more room than our current car. It's a 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe. Sooo flippen exciting!

  34. marionberry

    pomelo / 5041 posts

@mrssquirreld: Great car! Congrats! I'm waiting to hear on my second interview. He told me it would take a few weeks to get through the other candidates. I hope your mom can get the glider. That'd be awesome. Saw your huge dip this morning, I'm guessing that's ovulation. If so, you still have a chance of getting pregnant. I'm crossing my fingers for you!

  35. Mrs squirreld

    nectarine / 2522 posts

@marionberry: but my OPK say negative.. I'm confused.... I hope it is too, cause they can survive up there for 2 days right?

    and this is the glider

  37. chibee

    pear / 1974 posts

@mrssquirreld: i read sperm can survive up to 5 days! that's probably at the extreme end, but still, don't lose hope. I've been testing with OPK since CD12, I'm tired of peeing on these things.

  38. Mrs squirreld

    nectarine / 2522 posts

@chibee: I hope so! Have you had a positive yet?

  39. chibee

    pear / 1974 posts

@mrssquirreld: nope, been testing every single day, twice a day for the last 4 or so, and no positives. I'm really hoping today is the day!

@MrsquirrelD: Awesome car, wow! Its the size of my house!!! The glider's lovely too! I can't believe you haven't O'd yet! How annoying! You thought you were Oing at CD14 didn't you? Whatever happens this month, it's good news that you started charting so you can see what's going on!!

@marionberry: Oooh, fingers crossed for the job!! How exciting - and how nervewracking all at once!!

@Chibee: Looks like you're heading towards O yourself!

I'm on CD4 today and my chart it looking more normal this time around. Phew!
