Sorry I've been a little MIA ladies.. I have been sooo sick.. still home from work today. now I'm stressing all the codiene and pheusdoephridrine (sorry no idea how to spell that) is going to ruin my chances this month......
@Ali: how are you going???!!!
pomelo / 5041 posts
@Hanzabelle: I'm sure the meds won't affect your chances. Hope you feel better soon!
papaya / 10570 posts
@Hanzabelle: Oh no!! Get well soon! You've had a rough couple of weeks, haven't you? Hugs to you. You must be getting ready to O by now, right?
I'm 9DPO now and I'm desperate to test!!! I've had no symptoms at all and I'm convinced its not my month - I just want to be put out of my misery now!! The sooner I know, the sooner I can stop hoping!!!
nectarine / 2522 posts
@Ali: i'm just stressed so getting run down easily i think....sigh. I just want to be pregnant so bad.
9dpo!! woooohhhhooo are you gonna test tomorrow or wait a bit longer? when is AF due?
I'm due to O around the 22nd so I while to go yet... but we BD every 2-3 days anyways.
papaya / 10570 posts
@Hanzabelle: We've only BD'd once since O!!!! Gasp!!! That's what I was getting so stressed about it!! But I think we timed it pretty well so I'm happy. I don't know when AF is due because it's my first month off BCP, after 13 years! I didn't O until CD22!!! 14 days after O is Tuesday 18th..... I might just get some tests anyway...!!!
Oh hun. I know it's easier said than done (trust me, I do) but you really must try not to get so stressed that it's making you ill. We need a nice, strong, healthy Hanzabelle for baby making.
What do you love doing (apart from researching cloth diapering!)?

@Hanzabelle: sorry you're feeling sick!! I'm telling you, this baby making stress is no joke, it takes a toll on your body. I'm really trying to distract myself from it all this cycle - I've decided to focus on getting my weight back to pre-wedding 2 years ago and that has been distracting me a bit. (I started weight watchers)
@Ali: I'm excited about your chart, your timing was great. I can't wait for you to test again!

@chibee: @Ali: Hey ladies. Thanks for your well wishes. I'm still not better and went to the doctors yesterday and my blood pressure has massively jumped putting me in the servere hypertension zone. They don't know why, but it's why I feel so faint, non stop headaches and really weak. I've been put on immediate medication and being sent for blood tests and organ ultrasounds next week to establish the cause. I'm devastated. It looks like a baby will be put on hold for a while until they have established why it happened. I haven't told anyone yet bar the husband ofcourse.

@Hanzabelle: I'm sorry that baby has been put on hold, but it's best to take care of you first. I hope that you get better soon!

@Hanzabelle: I'm so sorry for what you're going through, but your health is the most important thing, i hope they figure out everything real soon. Keep us updated please!!

@Hanzabelle: Oh I'm so sorry lady. You must have been feeling really, really rubbish - more hugs from me. Keep us in the loop, I'm going to be worrying about you now!! x

@Ambular 1o25: Apparently.....! Can you get evaps on digitals?! I don't quite believe it yet!!!
pomelo / 5041 posts
@Ali: Nope, I don't think so! I didn't know there was a test that included numbers...does that mean 1-2 days pregnant?

@Ali: congrats times a million!! I'm so so so happy for you. I hope everything goes well and you have a healthy and happy 9 months.
As much as I love this board, I'm staying away from HB for a while atleast until I get my test results back. I'm feeling really terrible and ill and not knowing when we'll be TTC again at this stage is killing me. I don't want to be a downer on here. Thankyou guys for everything. xoxox

@Hanzabelle: I understand your need to stay away. I'll keep you in my thoughts and I can't wait for you to come back!
papaya / 10570 posts
@Hanzabelle: Whatever you decide and however long you stay away, please know that I'll be thinking of you. If you feel up to it, please do let us know how you're doing and what your test results say. I'm going to miss you so much but I understand.
Hugs from the other side of the world. xx

@Hanzabelle: You're welcome to be a downer on here (that's what open and honest boards are about) with no judgement, but I totally understand wanting to stay away from constant conversations about babies. I hope they figure out what's wrong quickly so that you can hurry back. We'll miss you.

@Ali: oh Ali... I'm so glad I've been stalking the boards still, so I could be here. I am so so so so sorry for your loss. I know nothing I can say can take the pain away. I wish there was something I could do. My heart goes out to you. xox

@Hanzabelle: Thank you, sweetie. I really appreciate you posting during your break to say that. I do hope you are feeling better. I'm heartbroken but I know I'll be okay. x

@Ali: I know your heart must be breaking... if you need to talk I'm always here.
Just wanted to share one of my favourite sayings. xo

@Hanzabelle: That's lovely, thank you. Still, I'd rather get some work done, you know, a bit of lipo or something....! Lol. xx

@Ali: hehehe...
Just an update on me... clearly I can't stay away. I love HB and you ladies so much! They still don't know what is wrong. Just had the last of my tests today. I'm feeling alot better now.. Over the weekend I had a rough patch. The medication they first put me on gave me a bad reaction and I ended up in hospital on Sunday. That wasn't fun. The second lot of medication has made me feel alot better, and so I get some test results back tomorrow. Fingers crossed all is good. I don't like the doctors being baffled. although the lovely nurse I had on sunday thinks they are all over reacting and I will be fine. They also said don't stop trying for a baby if its going to upset you and stress you out as they will only make things ( my blood pressure) worse and they changed my meds to baby friendly ones. I dunno I'm torn.. so we are kinda NTNP. What will be will be. I'm sure my body knows best..if its fighting off something, its not gonna have time to get pg.

@Ali: I am so heartbroken for you, I am so sorry. But like you said, you know that everything works, and you are able to conceive, and I hope it happens quickly for you, I really really do.
@Hanzabelle: I'm glad to have you back here though! also glad you are feeling better.
DH and I have been having a very rough time with this. He is not as into it as I am and this is a type of situation where if you're not both on the same level, it just won't work. After many tears and fights and talks, we decided to take it easy and stop stressing about it. Easier said than done, but I am really going to stop stressing and wondering, what if it takes us months and what if it never works - I am just focusing on other things now.
As much as I wish things were easier for all of us first time TTCers - it's a stressful time, and there are always road blocks and other issues to deal with, but I just have to say I'm glad I have HB and you guys to share it with. It helps.

@Hanzabelle: OMG - hospital?? That's so scary. So glad to hear you're feeling better though. I do hope that lovely nurse is right and it's all a lot of worry for nothing, just a little (but scary) blip and you'll be right as rain soon.
@Chibee: Oh no, it's awful when one of you wants to work hard at TTC and the other want to take it as it comes. You're right - it does help to share on here.
Well, the gang's all back together for Cycle #2, older (I feel much older), wiser, battered and bruised. Cycle #1 brought us a very late, surprise ovulation (Chibee), a hospital stay (Hanzabelle) and a miscarriage (me). I guess we have to wait and see what delights Cycle # 2 brings!!!

Hi! I'm new to the boards, starting lurking around the same time my husband and I decided to TTC.
We are in our first month, and I should O sometime next week. We're using the OPK's. I did a test month last month just to make sure that I O.
I'm nervous and excited and just really want this to work!
papaya / 10570 posts
@Dcrumlish29: Hi and welcome!!! Good luck on your TTC journey, keep us informed - we'll count down to O with you! - and whenever you want to chat about it (or anything else) we're here!!

@Ali - Thanks!! It's so hard to not become obsessed with this stuff. I'm trying to stay as stress free as possible (easier said than done). And unfortunately for me, I'm not busy at work until after I O, so I'm stalking these boards like crazy!

@Dcrumlish29: welcome! I am also waiting to O in my second cycle of TTC! Good luck and chat with us any time! And yes, you are definitely right ot try to stay stress-free, i am convinced that is the way to get preggers!

@Chibee - Hi! Good luck on this months cycle! It's definitely a challenge not over analyzing and stressing about this. I wish we had a crystal ball and could see into the future

@Hanzabelle: So sorry to hear about your hospital stay, but I'm glad that the nurse thinks you're fine and encouraged you to TTC. Baby-friendly meds are great too. I'm sure you'll be back to normal in no time.
@Ali: I've said this on the other board, but I am here if you need anyone to vent to. @Chibee is right, at least you know that you're able to get pregnant and I'm sure you'll be preggo again in no time. 1st cycle miscarriages after BCP seem fairly common, but I hope you have lots of HB friends who've gone through it too to help you get through it. My heart goes out to you.
@Chibee: Making babies can be really hard. We've faced our own TTC struggles as a couple, but the best thing to do is to communicate and try to understand each other's POV. You'll get through it! We're on our 6th cycle and each try just brings us closer together. Crossing my fingers for you!
@Dcrumlish: Good luck with your TTC journey! These girls are great and if you have any questions, I'm happy to help.

@ambular1025: @chibee: @Ali: ok ladies here's my update. results came back all good.... staying on some medications for now due to some family history but they are all baby friendly so no worries there. I'm a little upset about being on the meds but its all for the greater good i guess. So just trying to do other things to lower my blood pressure...so no stressing me out people!! hehe
I got a little emotional and told my mum we are TTC, which i kinda regret now cause I really wanted to surprise her when we finally got pregnant... oh well.
Ironically I had EWCM late last night so I'm pretty sure I'm O'ing right now... DH said right lets do it on my lunch break today....lol..so we did BD and after ...he yelled go sperm go!!! He makes me laugh, so glad he's there to cheer me up! I gotta stop feeling sorry for myself there are sooooo many things that could happen to me that are worse.
I must say after all this DH now is totally excited about the prospects of a baby.... i constantly talk about baby names and ask him what he thinks and he's always a bit like ...meh and doesn't really want to talk about it as we aren't even pregnant. But tonight before he went to work he turns to me out of the blue ( we weren't even talking about babies) and goes "What about "such and such" for a name?" it totally threw me! Plus I loved the name he came up with that helps! I'm just rambling now.... lets hope this cycle is a great one for all of us.

@chibee: I can understand how you are feeling.. DH was very let it be natural, let it happen and didn't want me charting or anything. Now he's a bit more on board...but I still think I'll give it another month before I approach the charting topic again. How are you feeling anyway...when are you due to O?
nectarine / 2522 posts
@dcrumlish29: Welcome! It IS hard not to stress... I think cycle one made us all a little older and wiser, so I wish you the best of luck and hope you get a BFP straight away! Feel free to obsess away with us though too!!! we love it!

@Hanzabelle: Go sperm go!!! That's so funny!!! I'm so glad the last of your tests came back ok. I had a feeling they would but it's still a relief to hear it. You absolutely mustn't get stressed this month - tell your DH to keep being funny and I'm sure you'll be just fine!
