Haha a fleece maxi dress would be quite the sight I'm glad it's not summer right now, but it sure feels like it in our office. It has to be upwards of 85 degrees in here. I'm somehow even more swollen than I normally am just by sitting in this dang cubicle, sweating bullets. Ick.

I was glad not to have the discomfort or swelling of being being hugely pregnant in the summer, but I do think the clothing options are way cuter in the summer. It's harder to wear pre-preg clothes in the winter. I also would have loved to be able to swim at the end!

Oh man, I can't wait to be back in SoCal, even during winter! It was like summer temps in SD last December and cooler during the summer than it is here in Sweden 2 years ago. I miss San Diego weather!

I wish it were summer too (even though I'm not pregnant) I just miss being warm! I miss sunny days, taking DS swimming, going to the beach but on the other hand I REALLY need to drop at least 10 pounds before I put my summer clothes on again.

@shopaholic: I know! I hate how it's super cold inside vs outside! I can totally relate to that... I'm all bundled up and "freezing" at home, but then one step outside, and it's so nice! The mornings and nights can get pretty chilly though inside or out.

I agree the maxi dresses and flip flops would be so nice to wear right now!

I'm actually glad to have done the first trimester in the winter-- I can only imagine it would be that much worse in the heat and humidity. Of course, that means I'll deal with being 9 months pregnant in July in the northeast so I guess I will see how I feel about it then. I do think summer clothes will be easier when I'm huge though-- maxi dresses always make me look pregnant anyway!

I've been 9 months pregnant in an extremely cold winter and an extremely hot summer for both kids. summer did have the perk of a more comfortable and easy wardrobe, BUT physically it was more exhausting, because the heat alone can cause you to dehydrate fast. Once I was getting my last pedicure before giving birth and I was doing absolutely nothing (reading a magazine in a massage chair)... And I almost fainted from the heat. Mind you, I kept up with my water and snacks, the AC was on, and it still was an issue... So yeah, i think being super preggo at the peak of a hot summer definitely has more (serious) downsides. I was drinking water like crazy to combat dehydration, and at the same time going to the bathroom like every hour since baby was so big and really pressing on my bladder... Not easy!

@NYCaliMama: @shopaholic: Oh my gosh, YES! The dresses are cool to wear, but the excessive drinking and PEEING is getting ridiculous. This week is a heatwave here, we're in 40celcius + temps all week. Hold me!
