I watched the original Star Wars trilogy a couple years ago. That was sacrilegious to Mr. Bee! But the list of classic/iconic movies I've never seen is sadly very long...

Those are the ones that come to mind off the top of my head! I'd love to just veg out for a week and watch old movies!

I haven't seen Scarface or Goodfellas. Not sure that I care? I've watched the rest of that list though. I love movies. I've seen all of Audrey Hepburns movies and every Bond movie...

I've never seen Casablanca or GWTW either... I've also never seen It's a Wonderful Life or The Hangover (which EVERYONE gets on me for- I've gone too long now, it's going to suck when I finally see it)
Now go watch the Godfather at least 2 or 3 times until you can fully appreciate it's awesomeness.

i've never seen the star wars movies! they never appealed to me, but i think maybe i should just see them anyway...? though i've always wanted to, i've never seen casablanca or gone with the wind either.

I haven't seen that many classic films at all. I watched Gone With the Wind for the first time a couple months ago. I've never seen any black and white films.

The only ones on your list I haven't seen are Gone with the Wind and Doctor Zhivago. I wouldn't mind seeing the latter but the former doesn't interest me at all. Others I can think of... I used the AFI top 100 as a guide.

I've actually watched a lot because my husband and like to work our way down the AFI top 100 list in the winter when shows are on hiatus.

@Shutterbug: I'm only 50/50! I've seen many more of the 1960s/70s ones than the earlier ones. And some of them I've only seen in school (like Ben-Hur and Spartacus). Don't feel bad!

I have not seen The Godfather series, Gone with the Wind or Saturday Night Fever.
Funny about the Star Wars. I am a pretty big SW fan. I met a girl a few years ago and we became insanely good friends. She immigrated here from South Africa when she was 13. I am constantly giving her a hard time about riding rhino's to school (she never did this, lol). Anyway, Star Wars never really made it to SA, and I was so shocked that she'd never seen it after immigrating here. I made her watch them. She thought they were cute but told me she'd probably never watch them again.
Maybe she needed to watch them when she was younger to appreciate it. haha
