I'm open to three, but may change my mind if future LO#2 is a girl (We have 1 ds :))

1-2. I'd like 2 (I think), but D is still set on 1. I don't think I'll be heart-broken if we don't have a second.

2, but DH wants 3. I think he would have a dozen if I would agree to it, though. Sorry, honey, but my lady parts are not an amusement ride.

I think I'm 2 and done, but dh wouldn't mind having 3. I would love a girl for never 2 so we'll have one of each.

@mrsjyw: Our last name is Baker and for a long while he wanted to have 13 kids just so we could say we had a "Baker's Dozen" -- I told him the amusement would wear off once we started trying to educate all 13 kids.

I picture us having 3, but it's still hard to imagine. We have 1 right now and some days I'm exhausted! DH would like to have 4, but that sounds crazy to me. I had 3 in my family growing up and he had 4, so I guess we both want what we're used to.

Ideally I'll have 2 boys and 2 girls!
But I'm open to 3-5. I'll just see how it plays out.

I honestly don't know anymore. I used to want 3 or 4 and DH wanted 4 or 5. At this point I will be thrilled with 1!

We're one per uterus and done. (that's 2 total btw.) but we're open to potentially adopting kids with disabilities in the future.

I *think* I want 4, but DS#2's arrival has been so traumatic I'm not sure anymore (he's our third child)

I'd love four if financially feasible, but it won't be, primarily because I'm not wanting to give up my career. We're hoping to have three, but two would be all right... We have one dd so far.

I'm two and through, but the thought of a third has crossed my mind. I don't think I can manage more than 2 kids. I'm trying to sell and get rid of my pregnancy stuff so that I'm not tempted.

I would have loved 4 children, but in that fantasy world, I would have married my college sweetheart at age 22 and would have started having children well before I did.
My life has taken an interesting path and I would not trade it for anything though.

I originally wanted 3, then 2 before S arrived, and now I'm seriously questioning whether we could ever be one and done.

Two and through for me. Just working on the timing of #2. Sometimes having a toddler enough, then I miss my bump, and want one more. I'm also in the realm of 2 is all I can handle. 3+ seems really hard to me.

2 if LO #2 is a girl. If not, we'd try for a 3rd, but that's it! 3 boys plus DH is plenty of testosterone in the house!!

Ideally, I would have 4. I've always wanted a big family!!! Realistically, I think we will have 2.

I want three but DH wants 2..... we will see what we get next. If we get another girl (which is what I would like #2 to be, I think), I will definitely push for #3 to try for that boy..... but if we get one of each, I may well agree to stop at 2!!

Three or four would be perfect for us, I think. However, this second pregnancy has been a lot harder than the first one which has me questioning whether I even want to go through a few more pregnancies!

We're pregnant with our first LO right now, but we're pretty committed to being one and done. Pregnancy has been very hard on my body even though I'm young and fairly physically fit, and while we're so excited about our daughter we also like the benefits that come with having just one child. If we did have a second, it would not be for a long while--this LO was a surprise and we're not as financially well-off as we'd like to be. We'll manage with one, but definitely would struggle having two little ones at the same time with our budget, so we would wait at least 5 years...and I'm not sure I'm going to want to go through the baby stage again then! But we shall see!

DH and I agreed on 3 before we got married. He wanted 4. After DS I thought just 2 because pregnancy was so hard. Now I'm pregnant with #2. This pregnancy has been so much easier, I'm back to 3. The financial aspect of 3 worries so we'll see.

I originally wanted 2 (preferably twins!) and my husband wanted 4. I think we'll probably try for 3 or 4.
pomegranate / 3212 posts
I voted 3 but I think 3-4. Laughable since having just 1 LO is kicking our butts!!

I wouldn't mind 3...I'd be happy with more, but I don't want to have to be pregnant with them. Anything more, we'd have to adopt!

I've always just wanted two, although my husband wanted three since that's what he grew up with. Now that we're older and still don't have kids yet, I think we both just want two.
nectarine / 2134 posts
Ideally 4, but realistically 2. DH and I are both only children so we both say we want "at least" 2 kids.

DH wants 6, but I like the idea of 4.
We don't have any yet, so that may very well change after our first one!

We have 1 LO right now, and definitely want another, and are open to more.. Perhaps several more.. I love the idea of a big family, but we will re-evaluate as each LO comes along, Lord willing..

Pregnant with # 1 right now... and I think we want 3-4. We will just take it one at a time though

2. Dh always wanted 2, I said 2 or 3. Then I had 1 and questioned how anyone ever decides to go through this again! Now that we are out of the "fourth trimester" I'm back to wanting another, someday, but two will be plenty, whether we end up with two girls or one of each.

I have always always wanted 3. My mum had wanted three too but it never worked out, I wonder sometimes whether that has something to do with it.
pomegranate / 3890 posts
We would like 4 but we will see how life turns out. But I am hoping we can have four!
persimmon / 1328 posts
3-4, although I think my dream right now is to have 2 sets of 2 who are close in age, with 4-5 years between the sets. We'll see though!
