I think y'all know my updates. I'm packing and cleaning today to get ready for my trip to TN. I'm still anxiously waiting on my transfer time. I did my second PIO shot this morning and didn't draw any blood or am I sore. So that's a win!

No real updates… still waiting for our appointment with the new RE next Tuesday. And waiting for AF.
But weekend fun - yes! Heading to the aquarium with DH and LO. Should be a lot of fun. She is suddenly obsessed with whales and dolphins so I'm excited for her to see everything up close.

@Leialou: Hooray!
I go to the doctor tomorrow to confirm miscarriage is complete. Saturday, we have a kids party at the zoo, and besides that, we are just taking it easy. I have a cold and am looking forward to a low-key weekend!

@Leialou: woohoo! That's good!!
@GreenThumb: how fun! I love the aquarium. I love whales and dolphins. Oh, penguins, too! Hope she enjoys it, too!
As for me, my goal is to recover from having strep, so I can go to work and start catching up emails and such. It sucks that I went home sick the day I was returned back to work.
I have a b/w appt tomorrow, then my 3rd delestrogen shot on Saturday.
Just trying to get healthy for my FET.

Today is my last day on bcp. Finally! I up my dose of Metformin again tomorrow. Bloodwork is scheduled for Monday, and I start Clomid on Tuesday. I'm so excited to not be stuck in a holding pattern. I just really, really hope we finally get a chance.

Had my HSG on Monday, tubes were clear! But we are still moving forward with IVF. I think last Saturday, I had a fluke positive OPK, because I didn't have any symptoms. I know PCOS can mess with that sometimes. Anyway, I took 3 OPKs yesterday and the last 2 were positive and so was the one this morning...that makes more sense for my cycle Our IVF consult appointment is scheduled for February 4th!
This weekend, we're driving to Madison, WI! We're visiting friends and just enjoying a weekend away!

Officially back in the TWW again...I am refusing to get my hopes up, so who knows. If things don't work this go-around our next attempt will not be until March since I'll be away all of Feb. Hope to see some good news on here for you ladies over the next little while!

@Leialou: OMG I am so excited for you!!!
ETA: As for me, I'm in a holding pattern for the next couple of months. I am trying to lose a little weight, get fit and improve egg quality if possible. I am starting to take some supplements. Anyone else take supplements to improve egg quality?
pomegranate / 3809 posts
@babycanuck: Was this a natural cycle for you?
@travellingbee: I don't know of any supplements for egg quality, but someone (I can't remember if it was here or weddingbee) suggested the book "It Starts With the Egg" (http://www.amazon.com/Starts-Egg-Pregnant-Naturally-Miscarriage-ebook/dp/B00J9Q3NQ4/ref=sr_1_1?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1421764344&sr=1-1&keywords=it+starts+with+the+egg) I didn't end up getting/reading it so I can't speak to it's contents, but it has good reviews.
AFM: I started Lupron injections this morning. Officially on the way with round 2.

@travellingbee: oh boy do I know about this! I took coq10. I only took 400 mg/ day because it caused massive GI issues for me, but I believe the recommended amount is 600. I found Inositol to be my most helpful supplement, so much so that I still take it. It's supposed to stabilize blood glucose and improve egg quality. I also took melatonin for a time but you need to be careful that it doesn't disrupt your cycle. It didn't for me and it gave me improved sleep quality.
I took an omega 3 supplement and a prenatal vitamin.
I purposely avoided DHEA and Royal jelly-- DHEA because I didn't feel like I had any cycle defects, just egg problems and royal jelly because there's no good evidence.
I considered wheat grass but it made me gag.
Some people recommend Maca root, but I also didn't find convincing evidence for that.
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
@Mrs. Jacks: @PurplePumps: my doctor recommended inositol and melatonin plus coQ10, omega 3 and a couple others. I already take coQ10 (but need to up my dose), prenatals, and vitamins D&B. I was thinking of doing Ovaboost which has inositol and melatonin in it...

@travellingbee: The only problem with combo supplements is you don't know which one might be affecting you adversely. I was glad I could titrate because the side effects of CoQ10 were so bad for me.
It was nice to know what I really liked and what I thought I could get rid of.
blogger / pineapple / 12381 posts
@travellingbee: Intense GI cramping. Completely ruined my days. I really couldn't take it any more. Turns out, it's a common known side effect.
hostess / wonderful apple seed / 16729 posts
@travellingbee: In addition to my other PCOS & DOR meds, I'm on CoQ10 and baby aspirin. The aspirin is suppose to help being more blood flow to the ovaries and uterus, which could help with egg development. I would ask your RE. I wasn't put on baby aspirin until my IVF cycle.
hostess / papaya / 10219 posts
@Mrs. Jacks: hmm I have been taking 200mg with no upset. I wonder if I'll still have problems when I up it...
