What's your favorite color? That's a really difficult question for a color addict like me. My top 5 (omg, my nerd is showing) are: coral, aqua, gray, navy, and plum
Updates? My beta results came in yesterday - negative (2). I'm bummed, but I feel like things are improving with each cycle (IUI 1 progesterone - 35, beta - 0; IUI 2 progesterone - 42, beta - 2), so I'm hoping that trend continues. We have decided that when AF comes, we're going to jump into our 3rd IUI cycle with letrozole.

My favorite color is blue, like sky blue, but I'll take any kind of blue over the other colors.
Updates: Next week, DH and I will continue with the diagnostic tests required for IVF. My SIS (saline infused sonogram) will be next week. Fingers crossed the tests will be normal and we can start on the BCP.

Favorite color is pink!
Updates: Just hanging out CD 11 waiting to O on my first round of clomid. Haven't felt too bad physically. Mentally I'm a hot mess. I hope it passes soon. I have my appointment with the new RE next Friday and I cannot wait to see what they say.
@just_ju: I'm sorry about your negative beta but it sounds like things are moving in the right direction.
@bluestriped bee: FX for you that you can get the IVF rolling soon!

@just_ju: Sorry about the negative but glad you are feeling positive as you move forward.
@bluestriped bee: I'm happy that you were able to get all the testing, etc done before your doctor returns
@MrsTal: Good luck with the new RE, are you going for a second opinion or switching doctors?

Another plum fan here, but I like it deep/almost black, very saturated.
I have a baby shower that I have been dreading on Sunday. There will be lots of extended family who will no doubt ask why its not us, blah blah blah

Favorite color: hmm... it varies a lot. I guess cobalt blue?
Updates: Just waiting to confirm O (with blood tests) so I can start on Lupron for my next IVF cycle. I finally ovulated on CD 25 (Tuesday) but my progesterone test yesterday at 1dpo was only 2.2 so they're having me come back tomorrow and hopefully my P will have risen enough.
@just_ju: I'm sorry for the negative beta Did they say anything about it being above zero? Do they consider that a chemical?
@bluestriped bee: I'm happy you're able to get started!
@MrsTal: good luck at the new RE! Also, I read your other thread about your pregnant friend. I just wanted to say that it's totally normal to be sad about it. I went through the same thing with my best friend since childhood. She got pregnant her first time trying, after we'd already been trying over a year. It was hard, but she was understanding when I backed off a little bit. I hope your friend is as well!

@mrswin: ooh like Lincoln Park After Dark nail polish? I love that color.

My favorite color is purple (to wear) and blue (for home decor).
Update: today is my 10th day on Gonal-F, and hopefully my last one, because the nonstop headaches are killing me. I've got another u/s appointment in the morning, and likely we'll trigger tomorrow night and IUI on Sunday. This time around my lining is doing great and I seem to be responding to the higher dose of FSH, so I'm kind of, maybe a little, feeling like there is some hope this cycle that my body will actually work the way it's supposed to.
@just_ju: I'm sorry to hear about your beta. Really hoping that things are moving in the right direction though!
@bluestriped bee: good luck with your tests next week!
@MrsTal: I hope your first round of Clomid goes well. And so exciting you're meeting with a new RE, hopefully they have some good ideas.
@mrswin: Baby showers used to be so fun. Now I tend to skip them, just so I can avoid the dreaded questions.
@Shutterbug: Hope your numbers come back good so you can get started on the next round!
nectarine / 2433 posts
@Shutterbug: Exactly like that colour I actually had that as my mani colour last week!
@Sprite: Sorry about the headaches, I get them on Femera too! I wish I could skip this baby shower but it is immediate family and doing so would cause huge waves
cantaloupe / 6086 posts
@Sprite: I'm hopeful that things continue to go well this cycle!
@mrswin: that's really hard. there's always someone who will ask the inappropriate question. hugs
@Shutterbug: fx for the next test result to move you forward!
@MrsTal: good luck with the new RE! clomid makes me very emotional and super depressed some days. hope you feel better soon.
I'm not sure I have a favorite color? probably all shades of blue.
update for me: 2WW! I am simultaneously hopeful and terrified. like maybe this could be it because this dosage worked before, but maybe if it isn't it that shows the first time was a random miracle vs successful treatment.
I gave myself a photo organization project to try to pass the time without driving myself crazy. will probably test a week from Friday.

@mrswin: I'm getting a second opinion but also hoping to switch. Really not happy with my current RE. Also, baby showers are the worst.
@Shutterbug: I hope she will understand. I haven't heard anything from her so I think she does. I hope your P rises!
@Sprite: FX for you for this cycle. I hope your headaches subside too.
@bhbee: I hope this works for you!! And I'm not sure if it's the clomid, or the news that my friend is pregnant, I seemed fairly rational before that but I never thought about the fact that the clomid might be making me a little more emotional than usual.
cantaloupe / 6086 posts
@MrsTal: many of us have complained about clomid making us crazy, so while the friend's pregnancy may be a big factor, clomid may be making it even worse! I find it comes and goes too, it's not like every day is awful, but I definitely see big swings.
all that to say - don't be hard on yourself, everything you're feeling is normal!

@just_ju: I'm sorry for your It sounds like things are moving in the right direction for you though!
@bluestriped bee: Good luck with the SIS and moving toward IVF!
@MrsTal: I'm also anxious to hear what your RE says! And yes, I agree wth @bhbee: Try not to be hard on yourself. Clomid made me CRAZY, plus I was already a hormonal mess, so I'm sure you're doing much better than I have been!
@mrswin: Oh dear. I'm so sorry! Sending you hugs and strength! There was definitely a phase where I refused to attend ANY baby showers!
@Shutterbug: Good luck on your upcoming IVF cycle! So, it sounds like you're waiting for AF?
@Sprite: Sending you good luck on your IUI!!
@bhbee: Good luck in your 2WW. It sounds promising!
Color? I have no idea. I'm not very passionate about colors, decor, fashion, etc. So, I'm very boring that way.
Can I just say that I'm SOO excited to sit my bum in front of the tv tonight, watch the ladies' free skate on the olympics and have some treats? We had our home study visit today from the social worker, so I've been working my tail off to clean our house (which of course she didn't care about at all... ha!), and so I'm excited to relax and not have to clean too much.
And I LOVE figure skating!

@mrswin: I hear you, I wouldn't be able to skip a shower for immediate family either. The only trick I know to avoid the baby questions is to have a drink in my hand at family gatherings. Even if I'm not drinking much, I have my answer at the ready, I just hold up my glass and say "No babies for me yet, I like my wine too much!"
@bhbee: Sending you lots of good thoughts for your TWW! Distractions are always a good idea, especially productive ones like organizing!
@MrsTal: Clomid made me a lot more emotional. Luckily it would subside by around day 12-13, so hopefully you'll be feeling a bit more normal soon.
@Mrs. Pinata: Cleaning for company is stressful enough, I can't imagine cleaning for a social worker to judge your home! Good thing she wasn't concerned about it. Enjoy your relaxing evening watching the Olympics!

@Sprite: Thanks! We just got out of the bathroom because of a tornado warning! I hope the rest of the evening is calm!

@just_ju: Best of luck to you and lucky IUI #3 your progesterone numbers are great!!!!!
@Bluestripedbee: I am so glad to hear you are on to IVF testing, I hope all goes well and you can start ASAP
@Mrstal: I am glad to hear you are feeling ok on Clomid, waiting to O at times is worse then TWW, I pray this is your month!!!
@Mrswin: blahhhn to baby showers sometimes....they can be hard!
@shutterbug: I hope your P goes up and you can get your next cycle under way!!!!!
@sprite: Yay, how many follicles do you think you will have????
@Bhbee: I am praying for you!!!
@Mrs.Pinata: I am loving the Olympics too....since my Fav shows are not back on yet........ cool to read about your adoption proceeds, it is solo amazing!!!
My favorite color: I seem to lean towards blue....
Update: CD18 no guess on O or what so I am giving it until March 3rd and will POAS if not AF.........here is to wishful thinking and well Faith and Praying!!!
I go back to RE 3/12 for blood work results and to talk about where to go next! Lest hope we get a miracle before then!!!!!
nectarine / 2433 posts
@Sprite: Hahaha a drink would be glorious but that side of the family doesn't consume alcohol I can't win with this one! I will just have to drink before and after
@FaithFertility: When do you think you should O? Are you temping or anything?
eggplant / 11861 posts
@mrswin: nothing ....lol which is now driving me crazy.....lo.
kiwi / 636 posts
@just_ju: FX for you! That progesterone number is so promising!
@Bluestripedbee: Yay for your next step towards IVF.
@Mrstal: G'luck waiting for O! Hopefully, you get to have lots of fun BD-ing in there too. Were you instructed to BD EOD starting on a particular cycle with clomid. A couple of my friends got their BFP on their first cycle of clomid. FX for you!
@Mrswin: That's how I've been feeling recently too! I used to just say we'll see when it happens and leave it at that. But it's progressively getting harder when so many more friends are KU at the baby showers! :hugs: to you.
@shutterbug: FX that P will go up for you!
@sprite: FX for your IUI and hoping that it works with the better lining!
@Bhbee: @faithfertility: FX for the three of us!
@Mrs.Pinata: I am always in awe of foster parents' ability to care for so many of the foster youth knowing full well that there is a chance of not being able to continue to care for that child and see the future outcome.
Favorite color: I would have to say pastel/sky/baby blue and notice that I wear a lot of different shades of blue.
Update: I think I'm in the TWW with @bhbee and @faithfertility. I'm not completely sure when I may have ovulated or even if I have ovulated yet but today is CD18. I'm just hoping that I do not end up with another 22 day cycle…but then again a 22 day cycle is better than an 81 day cycle! I'll be going in for my CD21 progesterone lab work on Sunday and am hoping and praying that my results will be >10.

@Mrs. Pinata: Hope the rest of your evening was calm! We've only lived in a tornado area for a couple years now, and I finally had my first closet-hiding experience just last month. So scary!
@FaithFertility: thinking of you and sending good thoughts you won't need your next appointment!
@lazypanda: good luck in your TWW! Hope your projesterone test goes well

Oh and another update from me: 3 mature follies as of this morning, and my lining is great! So triggering tonight and IUI for Sunday is on!

My favorite color was always purple growing up. Not sure I have a favorite now but I am drawn to pink shades!
As for updates, I had my consultation Wednesday night to discuss where to go from here in our TTC process... My ob/gyn was super awesome and is sending me for all the tests now. So I had CD2/3 blood work done yesterday and a baseline ultrasound. I just scheduled my HSG for next Friday (that was a disaster to schedule) and I'll go back for progesterone blood work post-O. Working on scheduling DH's SA now.
@Sprite: Woooo! FX for you!!
cherry / 195 posts
@mrswin: ugh, baby showers are hard enough to begin with - questions from family about your status is even worse. I hope you make it through with your sanity intact!
@Shutterbug: I didn't think to ask what a negative beta greater than 0 meant - adding that to my list of things to remember for my next appointment
@Sprite: woo hoo!! Good luck with your IUI on Sunday! Sending lots of vibes and crossing fingers!
blogger / pear / 1563 posts
@Sprite: Good luck with the IUI! 3 follicles sounds great! @lazypanda: I completely agree with you about foster parents! We're actually doing newborn adoption agency adoption, so there shouldn't be any fostering involved. I really admire people who do that though! So courageous!
eggplant / 11861 posts
@LindsayInNY: All that sounds great! I know it is scary to take thay step, but once you do do you feel better?!?!?!
Hope your road is short and sweet!!!! :)))

@FaithFertility: I'm kinda glad we're getting it all out of the way at once! It can (hopefully) only go up from here!!

I like pink and turquoise!
Updates: CD14 u/s will be this coming Tuesday. Trying to get in some good quality BD the next few days! Taking evening primrose this month.. Haven't taken it in awhile, so let's hope it works!

@LindsayInNY: Yes only up from here!, can't hurt to get extra information, and it will help with the what if factor!
nectarine / 2433 posts
@LindsayInNY: Good luck with the testing, hopefully it will help you decide what the next steps to take
@Sprite: Good luck with the IUI tomorrow
kiwi / 636 posts
@Sprite: good luck with your IUI tomorrow!
@Mrswin: good luck getting through the baby shower tomorrow.
Yikes! I think I may have miscalculated ovulation ... My OPKs have remained about the same from CD 14 up to this morning. I took it both am and pm so that I would not miss O even though we're on times intercourse. Tonight, the line was darker! I guess I'll know more if I ovulated or not after tomorrow's Progesterone lab work.
What do you ladies think? The test on the very left is from tonight and the very right is from CD14.
eggplant / 11861 posts
@lazypanda: I hate OPKs but I'd have to count the one on the left a positive, it is the darkest so far pretty close to test line! I'm glad you are getting b/w that will def let you know.....but if you just ovulated today or tomorrow it might not show, maybe ask to come again in a week?!?!??!
grapefruit / 4703 posts
@lazypanda: agree with @FaithFertility about the almost positive test on the left and also about the blood work. I got a positive OPK on Monday and then had BW on Wednesday and my progesterone was only 2.2. I went back on Friday and that confirmed ovulation (at 3dpo).

Hi friends! Sorry I've been absent the past couple of days. All of the raging hormones finally caught up with me! I've been a real pill to my poor husband...
We had egg retrieval on Thursday. They got 10 eggs, and 7 had fertilized as of Friday. We go back for transfer Tuesday morning!
No real favorite color for me... it always seems to change depending on the day!
