@marionberry: @sweetooth: I called this morning to tell the clinic I was in a lot of pain and ask what alternatives I had and they couldn't be bothered to respond to me. I am seriously thisclose to requesting my records and giving up. The records request form has been sitting on my table for a while now.

@spaniellove: Communication and good care are so important. Ugh. Don't give up. Keep pushing - they need to provide answers. I'm so sorry you're having to deal with all of this.

So you haven't had the procedure yet? But you're already in pain?

@sweetooth: The antibiotic is killing my stomach. I've had bleeding ulcers and have told them I can't take NSAIDs or anything that could cause stomach bleeding but they don't look at my records - last month they gave me a med with peanut oil when I have a peanut allergy. The clinic is notorious for being chaotic...it's the place that killed a patient during a routine procedure.

@spaniellove: Yikes, so irresponsible of them Do you have any other options in terms of places to go for treatment?

@Mrs.Someone: This was my last resort. The only other places I know of that are good with DOR are a couple clinics in CA and NYC, but their only treatment is to do a few rounds of mini-IVF (each at the cost of regular) to store up embryos and then do a frozen transfer.

@spaniellove: I'm sorry you're in pain right now. I remember taking that medicine before the HSG and it did make my stomach turn. Is the medicine purely for purposes of preventing any infection? I know they do still insert the catheter for the sonogram, so maybe it's precautionary.

Is there any other facility you can have this done at? I don't like to think of you in danger. Do you only have the two options for fertility clinics where you're at?

@spaniellove: Boo Considering all the issues you have with meds, maybe an ND would be worth a try? I know not everyone is up for non-traditional medicine though!

@spaniellove: Maybe take some time this weekend to think through if the NYC location is an option. Could you try to schedule an appointment there? Just to see if the care would be better and more comforting? You deserve the best.

@sweetooth: Maybe...since I really don't want to do IVF again I guess I could just make a list of all the places where I'd consider doing an IUI since we never really exhausted that option.

@Mrs.Someone: I'm not against working with an ND - taking supplements has helped me a lot over the past year so I'd be interested in learning more. The only thing I might be afraid of is that I don't have enough time with my few good eggs to make it work!

@spaniellove: I think even though other clinics may not necessarily be known for DOR, they may still be pretty good at it or at least with the IUI. I'd certainly look into others if you can. I would hate for you to give up given this stupid clinic.

@spaniellove: I can imagine its a tough decision to make if you feel like your clock is ticking So sorry that you're having such a rough time with this. Considering that you've gotten pregnant naturally though, maybe it wouldn't take as long? I don't know.. I just would hate to see you give up!

@raintreebee: Congrats on a great ER today!

@spaniellove: I'm sorry you aren't feeling well from the meds and the clinic isn't communicating with you very well. I hope you are able to get it all sorted out soon.
