    Can I join? I don't feel like I really belong on any of the TTC boards right now, my situation is a bit of a mis fit.

    I have PCOS but have managed to ovulate on my own (after many months of no periods) with acupuncture and herbs and with cycle monitoring at a fertility clinic. I got pregnant twice. #1 resulted in my lovely 19-month-old daughter and I lost the second pregnancy at 8 weeks, almost three weeks ago.

    I had a meeting with my fertility doctor this morning to make a new plan and we're giving it till mid July to see if my period shows up and if it doesn't we'll do a random day 3 ultrasound and blood work to see if there's any action, if not we'll start ovulation drugs because I just haven't got it in me to wait it out again. A few months of that and we'll get more aggressive.

    I'm sorry if it seems I shouldn't be here because I have had pregnancies, I just feel like the POAS threads don't apply to me. And I need some support because miscarriages don't seem to get much easier as the days go by. The baby I lost just seems further away from me and I miss it

    @travelgirl1: welcome! (although sorry you have a reason to be here.) I think this board is awesome and welcoming to everyone. I know where you are coming from, I have PCOS as well and have had 6 pregnancies. #3 is now 2 and #6 is hopefully going to be looking good next week at our NT scan. losses are really hard but this group, where everyone has been through a lot (even if every story is different) is a great place to hang out!

    @travelgirl1: Welcome!

    Update from me: My estrogen levels today shot up to 1156 (after 5 days of stims)! We're barreling toward a retrieval possibly over the weekend! Currently heading up to do an on-site (rather than satellite) U/S tomorrow. & !

    I do hope you get your rainbow baby soon!

    @FliegepilzHut: woohoo! that's sooner than expected!

    @bhbee: Nice to see you popping in! I hope Texas and the new life are going well!

    I'm getting over this cold but more than ready to start relaxing on the beach. I was proud of myself for only staying an hour more at work today. Work will just have to manage without me. DH is still at work as he wraps up things before we leave tomorrow morning.

    I just thought I'd check-in quickly. I had my beta yesterday and it was negative unfortunately. I'm incredibly sad but trying not to completely fall apart. It's just hard knowing that IVF may never work for us. We have an appointment on 7/18 with the RE to talk about our next cycle. It will be nice to have a little treatment break. Thank you all for being so supportive. It really helped me get through my first IVF cycle!

    @Sunshine1810: I know it must be really hard.. But listen to this- a girl at work tried ivf 3x before having her daughter 3 years ago. She is currently pregnant with her SECOND baby without ANY intervention. Total surprise. She is 35 with a slew of health issues. Helps remind me to think positive- it will happen

    @Sunshine1810: oh gosh! I'm so sorry! That's so hard. you seem to be taking it much better than I.would. I hope you're able to take some time to rest and rejuvenate in this time and that your RE has a good plan for you when you meet next month. I have a friend with a very similar story as Mrs. Bunchy, so hang in there. Hugs!

    @Sunshine1810: I'm so sorry...it is really hard when IVF doesn't work; I've been there. Please give yourself time to feel all the emotions that come to you. And you still have options even if you might not know about them yet! After our failed IVF we got pregnant, once as a total surprise and twice with non-IVF treatments and finally have our sticky baby.

    @Sunshine1810: I'm sorry about the negative beta. I know a couple people who had to go through multiple rounds before it actually worked so FX the next cycle is a success

    @Mrs. Pinata: Thanks! Funny you mention the lottery because for the last few months my husband buys the big mega jackpot lottery tickets and we of course get absolutely no numbers (well, one free ticket once) so perhaps we will get lucky with that. haha I promise if I win big, I will pay for a round of IVF for everyone here that needs it!! Nobody should have to pay over $15,000 for one round of IVF.

    @Sunshine1810: So glad to see others sharing their stories about those who had success on the next round of IVF. As I said earlier, I think round #2 WILL be your lucky cycle!!! We're all here for you!

    Funny story for all of you that I forgot to share after my baseline ultrasound Monday. The ultrasound tech couldn't figure out the fluid in my uterus (I've had this free fluid for years on and off) and it throws some techs for a loop because they don't understand how to read it well. Anyway, she said suddenly to my husband standing next to me, "Here, can you hold the wand while I go get someone else?" Next thing you know, she leaves the exam room and my husband is holding the ultrasound wand and both of us are laughing. She comes back with another "senior tech" and he is relieved of his duties. I could tell he was uneasy about the whole thing, but he joked about it which helped relieve my anxiety during the process, too. Just had to share. It was a very funny moment! I have had dozens of ultrasounds, but never one quite like that.

    @Jenn23: Hahaha I think my SO would have died of embarrassment and tried to leave the room!!! LOL Glad your DH was a good sport about it

    @mrs bunchy: thank you for sharing that story! Hearing of success after IVF failures really helps me feel like I still have a chance.

    @Mrs. Pinata: thank you! Honestly I'm doing a little better than I thought I would. I had an awful time after our third failed IUI and I vowed to myself to try my hardest not to get to that place again. I'm getting there.

    @FliegepilzHut: HUGS!

    @spaniellove: thank you for sharing your story! So happy you have your baby!!

    @mrswin: Thank you!

    @Jenn23: thank you! Haha that is a funny ultrasound story!!
