What cycle are you on/how long have you been TTC?

What are your plans for this cycle?
IUI w/ Tamoxifen, then off to Peru!

How is your attitude/outlook?
Cautiously hopeful, mostly excited about going away

What have you struggled with most this week?
Just a few dark moments here and there; I still have them. Also wondering about test that showed my blood isn't clotting - can't wait to have it redone and be okay.

What is your diagnosis?
You name it, someone has dxed us with it by now - DOR, low progesterone, endometriosis, hypothyroid, male factor

If you could go back in time and tell yourself about your infertility, would you?
Definitely...we've been married 6 years (this weekend!) and put off TTC for a long time. If I had known I would have pushed harder to start when we had that first m/c before the wedding.

@Mrs. Polish: I've been using Endometrin (suppositories) for a few cycles but my LP has actually been getting shorter on them so we talked about using Prometrium or injections this cycle. Were you put on the cream after having your progesterone tested? (Do you mean a skin cream?) I think the cream is one of the least reliable methods so something else might work better if you do have low progesterone!

Since April 2012 (Cycle 16 I think)

What are your plans for this cycle?
Clomid, second cycle

How is your attitude/outlook?
Meh. I feel like the Clomid didn't work (still O'ed on CD19, still had a 10 day LP) and I wanted to move on to IUI and monitoring, but DH wants to give it another try this way.

What have you struggled with most this week?
My BFF is now in her first TWW, and it's been both fun for me to finally have someone to talk about all this stuff with, but also incredibly hard, for a few reasons. I'm afraid of how I'll handle it when she gets pregnant, and she's hitting me with lots of "have you tried x?" type questions because she's reading about fertility (and infertility). Yesterday I sort of snapped at her and said "If it's on the internet, I've tried it. I have doctors trying to get me pregnant now - I don't think <insert random wives tale here> is going to help." I felt bad about it, but it wasn't what I wanted/needed to hear from her right then.

What is your diagnosis?
Officially unexplained, but DH has borderline morph and I have a short LP and hypothyroid.

If you could go back in time and tell yourself about your infertility, would you?
Yes, for the same reason as @spaniellove: we've been married for 4 years, and I would have started TTC a lot sooner if I had known how long it would take.

What cycle are you on/how long have you been TTC? Since Dec. 2011

What are your plans for this cycle? I dunno, I think my parents are gonna be here when I'm O'ing... :o/ Maybe some really quiet BD'ing on the floor, lol.

How is your attitude/outlook? In general it's ok-ish. I'm really happy about the warm weather, and have been keeping myself really busy.

What have you struggled with most this week? Jealousy, being heartbroken over our situation.

What is your diagnosis? Nothing yet!!! I got 10 vials of blood taken on Monday, and my follow-up appt. is on July 16, so hopefully we'll get some answers then!!

If you could go back in time and tell yourself about your infertility, would you? Hmm, maybe? We started TTC on our one year anniversary vacation. (Technically it was one year and 2 months...) Maybe I would have started trying right away? But we did do a lot in that first year, so I can't say I regret it. I really don't know.

I'll tell you one thing, I wish the "future" me could tell the "now" me if it's gonna happen or not. I just want to know, one way or the other.

Month 2 of herbs from my ND, also trying to keep my mind off it as much as possible.

How is your attitude/outlook?
I'm doing OK this week. Not sure I'm exactly optimistic, but at least I'm not pessimistic at the moment...

What have you struggled with most this week?
I always worry at O time that we won't get enough sex in... (for the record, it usually works out OK)

What is your diagnosis?
MTHFR, Hashimoto's

If you could go back in time and tell yourself about your infertility, would you?
Yes! I'm not sure we would've started TTC sooner, but I think I would've been more relaxed at the beginning, and we might have tried treatment sooner. I sure wish my future self would come and let me know the end of the story though!

What cycle are you on/how long have you been TTC? - 1 year
What are your plans for this cycle? - 100mg clomid days 3-9, hcg trigger shot
How is your attitude/outlook? - hopeful and trying to stay as positive as possible
What have you struggled with most this week? - the possibility of moving onto IUI with an RE if this last clomid cycle doesn't work out
What is your diagnosis? - pcos and dh - low morphology
If you could go back in time and tell yourself about your infertility, would you? - yes, and i would tell myself to remain hopeful, that it will eventually happen for us, and to savor the good in my life (dh, family, friends, puppy, home, food, jobs)

@TheReelDeal: You're right, not a contest, but if only they knew what we have to do! Has he ever gone with you to a procedure?

@Shutterbug: That is annoying when they can't stop and ask first what we've been through. It's nice of her to think of you, but she could give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you've at least looked things up online.

@spaniellove: Peru! We went there for missionary in 2007. One thing I regret is that we didn't have time to go to machu pichu (sp?) I still miss their aji Amarillo. Mmmmm. Even Mickey ds had it hehe. Good luck with your test!

@TheSwissWifeStyle: that's why I'd tell my past me that I'd get pregnant because I still remember clearly how discouraging all the bfns are.

I had to take charge with my clinic this morning. I'm not scheduled to go in again until Monday (CD10), but I just kept having a feeling that could be too late since I've ovulated as early as CD11 and I started having EWCM yesterday. Since it bugged me so much I called and told them I wanted to get in for an u/s this morning, and sure enough my follicle (unfortunately only 1) is almost there. They still haven't gotten their act together and won't get me the trigger until Monday, so I'm having my doubts about this cycle being an IUI. Plus, now with O'ing early this completely messes things up with my trip - I'd have to just POAS and get AF while I'm away. My body could cooperate just once!

@marionberry: They were closing by the time they called me so they said they'd call it in on Monday.

Hi ladies,
I hope it is okay that I'm joining in. I"ve been lurking for awhile. We've been trying since Feb '12 and have had two miscarriages. I've seen an RE and he has found nothing interesting in my bloodwork, u/s, etc.

What cycle are you on/how long have you been TTC?
Since Feb '12

What are your plans for this cycle? Nothing special. Just OPK's. We will likely be moving in the next few months and I'm going to wait until that's official before finding a more proactive doctor.

How is your attitude/outlook?
Generally fairly positive. I realize we're very lucky in the fact that I can get pregnant. That is a huge hurdle we've gotten over. I just worry that I won't be able to relax/enjoy any future pregnancies after the disappointment of the last two.

What have you struggled with most this week?
AF came again this week. We had terrible timing this month so I'm not surprised. Today marks the one year anniversary of m/c #1. I've handled it better than I've expected, but it's frustrating to realize that it's a year later and we've made no progress toward growing our family.

What is your diagnosis?
Recurrent pregnancy loss.

If you could go back in time and tell yourself about your infertility, would you?
I don't think so. At this point, there isn't anything I can do to fix it, so I like the fact that past-me could be optimistic about the whole process.

@futuremama: I'm sorry you have to join us and hope you get your sticky baby very soon!

Here's a zinger from last night...we went to dinner with our ILs and the topic of our infertility came up. So when we were done catching up on it, my FIL asks DH if his sister emails him pictures of her baby and marvels at how big he is. (This, the sister who I supported throughout her pregnancy and she can't be bothered to say one word of support now that she hears what we're going through, but she yells at him that he doesn't call her.) Our jaws dropped. I told MIL her husband needs to learn what not to say.

Update for me... Friday I had a 17, 15, 11 and one small follicle. The RE wanted me to come back today to check/probably trigger today with IUI Tuesday. Well, I have already released my eggs. We are getting ready to still do the IUI now but I am so disappointed and worried its all going to be for nothing. Additionally, DH had a fever & wasn't feeling good this weekend. That means we didn't BD at all & I hope his swimmers are healthy today. I was so hopeful for this cycle & now I am a little crushed.

@kentuckygirl: I'm keeping my fingers crossed it all works out for you!
