Since March '13. I gave up on counting cycles, too depressing!

What are your plans for this cycle?
GF & food sensitivities diet, herbs from ND, anti-inflammatory powder.

How is your attitude/outlook?
Meh. Not expecting anything this month because the last time we'll be able to have sex is at best O-2.

What have you struggled with most this week?
Not much TTC related, packing/getting ready for our trip to S. America! We leave tomorrow afternoon

What is your diagnosis?
Hashimoto's, MTHFR, potential autoimmune cocktail.

My ND! The first 2 times I told my best friend very quickly, but she isn't the most supportive, so I don't think I will next time. I have a few other close friends that are very supportive and will probably learn the news next.

What cycle are you on/how long have you been TTC?
Since January 2012

What are your plans for this cycle?
Just waiting for AF so I can start our IUI cycle!

How is your attitude/outlook?
Excited and anxious and impatient.

What have you struggled with most this week?
Still trying to figure out how we're going to schedule the appts. I've left a message for my RE's office to see if we can do them at 4 or 4:30pm at earliest, and I haven't heard back yet...

What is your diagnosis?
Mild PCOS with mild MFI (count)

Probably my mom, as she is helping us with the costs of the IUI cycle and is the only other person who knows what is happening. Everyone else will have to wait until much later!

Looking at cycle 12.

What are your plans for this cycle?
I think just your basic TTC--no meds or anything. Kind of tempted to even skip OPKs.

How is your attitude/outlook?
Discouraged.

What have you struggled with most this week?
It's been a weird medical week. Ultrasound after a cycle on Femara showed my lining only at 5, and the doctor is kind of casual about it. "Maybe it's just the way your uterus is...." Okay, but how might that be affecting getting pregnant? He sent me home with an info sheet on drugs like Bravelle, but I'm not ready for that step yet.

I've had a rash covering my legs and thighs since April. I went back for a follow-up and they did some blood work. Turns out I'm pre-diabetic! It just hasn't sunk in. I'm a healthy weight, eat a good (not perfect) diet, and move around a moderate amount. So more blood work has been done for additional potential autoimmune issues, and now I wait. The doctor said this type of thing would definitely be a factor in getting pregnant. I felt calm and fine about it until I got home and saw my DH and he asked how my day had been.

Hmmm. I think my gym buddy. She's a good listener, I could trust her to keep it secret, and I know she would be excited for me.

8.5 months post DH's TBI

What are your plans for this cycle?
Today is my 31st birthday (yay!) so I'm really glad we have an appointment with a fertility clinic next week. I'm guessing they will want to run the standards fertility workup on me in September.

How is your attitude/outlook?
Most days it's good. I have been stalking the IVF threads so it's less scary to me if we need to go that route. When DH is having a bad behavior day, I tend to get worried about my ability to handle both him and a baby. When he's calm, he's a joy to be around and he talks about starting a family all the time.

What have you struggled with most this week?
This week I've been thinking about what changes I will need to make in my living situation if I do get pregnant with the help of fertility treatments. I'm thinking I will need to move back to my home state so my mom can help us. She's more than excited about the prospect, but I'm nervous about finding a job.

What is your diagnosis?
MF - anejaculation post TBI

I would definitely tell my mom right away. I would probably wait to tell anyone else unless I have complications or something. When I tell my DH's family, I want to make sure it's a viable pregnancy. I haven't decided if I will tell them about fertility treatments or not.

What have you struggled with most this week? It has been a roller coaster of a week! First we found out that we had gotten 15 eggs from our first IVF egg retrieval. 11 were mature and 9 fertilized. I was happy with that. On Monday we learned that only 3 survived to be 5 day blastocysts. This was upsetting and I threw myself a pretty big pity party on Monday night. On Wednesday we found out that all three of our snow babies are genetically normal! So now I am optimistic that our FET will result in a baby!

Well, we're about to leave. O-2 just didn't work out We tried though. Consoled myself with finding charts and statistics that O-4 could work. And maybe we'll be able to get the deed done at the IL's house...

-Lawbee11! She gave me her batch of lucky wondfos. I have to show her when I get a BFP on one. Then my mom and MIL.

Sitting waiting for our 2 IUI, had our first yesterday 12hrs after HCG now another 36hrs after :)) Illy looked great I had 2 follicles, Estrogen levels at 400 and DH count yesterday was great hoping its great again today!!!! :))

@FaithFertility: how did the IUI go yesterday?!

@KentuckyGirl: this is an exciting time for you! Fingers crossed all goes smoothly.

@Mrs. Polish: leg rash is still here, but getting better! Do you take any medications or anything for being pre-diabetic? All I think I've had so far is the A1C test, but they pulled a lot more blood to further check things out.

@Mrs. Jump Rope: I'm glad you can take a little break. I sure do hope it's worth trying again. What does your doctor say about the early losses?

@MrsTal: I'm glad you can get to the RE! I think it will help you to feel like you're doing something in this frustrating process. I've been surprised at how much our insurance has actually covered. We had also spoken to a generous family member about helping cover costs, but have been able to pay for things ourselves at this point. I think REs are pros at billing things to help cover costs as much as possible.

@Leialou: I keep bouncing from here to the IVF thread to see how things are going! When do you get to stop the injections?

@JustDarling: not on any meds right now. Man, you really did have a roller coaster of a week! Come on, snow babies!

@macintosh: i hope your husband has remained calm and stayed away from bad behavior days! And a happy belated birthday to you! When do you go the RE this week?

@MrsWin: busy is good, I hope! There's definitely a perfect amount--enough to make time go quickly and you feel productive, but not too crazy that everything feels out of balance. I sent you a wall post about the prediabetic thing--would love to hear about your experience. Oh, and I see you go to a ND--I'm very curious about that as well!

We took a break from the treatments and just continued with Metformin/Supplements/Acupuncture.

How is your attitude/outlook?

Meh...not hopeful for this cycle, but I have a follow-up appointment with RE in Sept.

Luckily I haven't been stressing out too much about TTC. I really needed a break after the IUI failures. I am feeling better now finally.

@Happygal: I have been on Metformin and chromium picolinate before, as well. I have mild PCOS, and diabetes runs in my family, so the docs had me on it for insulin resistance. I'm not currently on it, though, as we weren't sure it was doing a whole lot. I do think it helped me lose weight, though, which probably did more for my A1C than anything. Hoping that this diagnosis brings you closer to a BFP!

As for me...I'm sitting here at 8 weeks. I don't feel well, but I'm very grateful to be here! I've struggled a lot this week with staying positive, but I'm trying to remember that each day with the little plum is a blessing. And I can't wait until I get to see him/her again next Thursday!

There seems to be a number of prediabetics here! I'm very curious about this. Did you feel any different on meds? What other tests did they run? Do you know if you're prediabetic for diabetes 1 or 2?

No meds for me, at least until additional tests come back.

@alie: Good luck with your IUI cycle, I can totally relate to trying to schedule appointments and such! My RE office was EXTREMELY flexible, hope yours is too! I just had my first IUIs 2 days ago, do chat if you need anything :)))

Hey guys. I have my first appointment with the fertility specialist tomorrow and I'm feeling strangely apathetic about it. That's probably because I spent Sunday and Monday in the hospital with DH.

He has a blood clot in his hemiplegic left leg. He's home now and doing fine, but I'm exhausted. I decided not to bring him to the appointment with me. I don't want him to miss another day of rehab and I also don't want him to be tired and cranky during it.

DH has to be on blood thinners now because if the clot, probably for the rest if his life. I don't know if it's even feasible to do any surgical procedures any time soon.

I'm hoping I can get my fertility work up started and get an idea of what they will recommend for DH if we can't solve his ejaculation problem. Parenthood seems really far off, unfortunately.
