If cost were no issue, I'd go to Dubai again and go shopping! Even though it was hot as hell there in August last year! But EVERYwhere has AC, and the ocean was nice, while not as refreshing as the pool

So, FF DID end up changing my O date this morning! It moved it to when I had that big jump. So today I'm 6dpt, 4dpo. Much better in regards to our BD! Been testing out my trigger starting on 4dpt, when the HPTs arrived in the mail. It's a super faint line today.

For those who've tested out the trigger before, what day did you get a negative? I remember last time I did injectables, I didn't test out the trigger, but tested on 9dpo I think, and got a positive. It was pretty faint though, so I dunno if that was still the trigger or what. Hard to remember, it was about a year ago!

ETA: durr, I just realized, does dpt usually mean days past transfer, or trigger? I think transfer right? Guess I should be using dpts (trigger shot.) Anywho...

@lazypanda: Italy and France that sounds like a great trip! Especially with wine // I had to get off of FB for my sanity. Even if I blocked all friends that I thought would post a pregnancy announcement, I still couldn't avoid them. It was so hard to handle, I just deactivated my account and haven't returned since. You don't have to do anything that drastic, but maybe take a little break from FB? It's good that your husband is able to share with you how he feels. Isn't it always interesting though, when they do open up?

@FliegepilzHut: I've been following your story on the IVF thread. I hope that you are able to move on to an FET soon. I know I told @lazypanda to take a FB break to shield herself from the pregnancy announcements. It's so hard when those moments are in person and unavoidable - you can't really deactivate and walk away in real life. I do feel like when you're in the thick of an emotional state, tied to such a strong feeling, that everything is heightened. When I had a failed cycle I felt like every song on the radio was a trigger for tears. And I could NOT stop seeing pregnant woman everywhere. It was so hard not to feel anger towards them.

@TheSwissWifeStyle: I don't have any experience with testing out the trigger. I always just tried to keep myself busy and continue to do my Circle + Bloom meditations to keep my head in the right place. I'm still sending lots of thoughts your way for a successful cycle! // That's awesome that you've been to Dubai!

@lazypanda: @FliegepilzHut: pregnancy announcements can be so hard. Second pregnancies are hardest on me. Especially if the person had their first after I started trying.

@Leialou: I hope you get accepted too. Do you think you'll hear back soon? Or does it take a while after you submit your application?

@lazypanda: my RE gave me two clinic recommendations where they adopt embryos out and perform the FET at the same place. We researched both clinics and picked one we felt more comfortable with. The one we chose gives you three chances at a transfer, which makes it less risky. Also we just liked the overall feeling we got from them. To get accepted you have to have a clean bill of health (no STDs) and pass a home study. Then I think it's first come first serve. I do believe they give precedence to couple with IF and no children.

@Leialou: Embryo adoption sounds amazing! Will they match you with an embryo based on your preferences, like other forms of adoption? Or do you choose?

@sweetooth: Welcome! And thanks! I don't feel angry...I just wish they would SHUT UP!!! Today, my purgatory was listening to a woman go on about her "baby fever"...with an 8 month old at home. And someone else, out of the blue (not a coworker) started to pry into "do you have kids"...saying "you just seem like you would be so good...." And then "have you and your husband been married long?" (8 years in September).

@macintosh: People must honestly not realize how common IF is...kills me, but I can't really "out" myself at work, either... I hope your other ovary kicks into high gear (but it only takes one! --- in my case, we got all 17 from my awesome left ovary)! This part will be over before you know it and with a little luck, you'll be pregnant!

If I had to pick a repeat vacation, I'd go to Iceland again. We loved all the natural beauty there.

Updates... I found out the day before my vacation that my grandfather had passed away. It went from counting down excited for my vacation to well damn, now what do I do. We embedded up going on the vacation prepared to come back early pen missing service arrangements. Turns out we didn't have to come home early, but it's got me into a funk on and off throughout the week.

Then after 4 days of spotting AF showed up today. That bitch couldn't even wait till morning like usual and ruined my pjs and my last day here on the beach. Guess I can go ahead and jump in that hot tub tonight now. Ill be starting bc on cd 3 for ivf next cycle.

I think I would go back to Thailand.... I would love to dig my toes into some warm, white sand right now and dance all night on the beach Or Spain... DH has family there and we got married there, it feels like home and a holiday rolled into one.

So we are on cycle #2 post miscarriage but life has been a bit stressful. We are trying to renew our work permits but we got denied as the rules for temporary foreign workers amped up big time this month and we might have to move home. This is really not the right time for us to go back to England and all my fertility doctors are here. This situation has meant we no longer have health coverage (LO still does, she's Canadian) so I had to stop cycle monitoring. I'm using digital LH sticks and hoping for a miracle

@lazypanda: The pregnancy announcements are constant right now, aren't they? I keep wondering if it's because I am more sensitive to them given that my last IVF failed, or if everyone really is pregnant right now! Glad you are moving forward with IVF though! I hope this is it for you!
