How did you meet DH? through a mutual friend who I went to HS with and he went to college with. I was 18 and he was 19.
What was your first date? We didn't really have one! We like to joke that we met at a rap concert because that's what we all did as a group the night we met (on campus).

How long were you together before you got engaged? 5.5 years!
How long were you engaged before you got married? 17 months
Did you decide to TTC right away? Nope, we waited almost 3 years, although I wished we had started sooner.

So my beta yesterday was negative, and now I'm just waiting for AF to show so I can get going on my 3rd and probably final IUI. I get 6 ART cycles covered (lifetime, on my insurance policy) so we'll most likely be switching to IVF after this IUI.

How did you meet DH?
We were neighbors in our apartment building.

What was your first date?
We went out to a club...but it was all so awkward!

Did you like him the first time you met him?
I thought he was cute but really not my type. Plus I was dating someone else!

How long were you together before you got engaged?
Subtracting the months I refused to talk to him or see him, 4 months?

How long were you engaged before you got married?
2 years

Did you decide to TTC right away?
We kept putting it off...almost 6 years!

How did you meet DH? On the internet.

What was your first date? We went to a local brewery/restaurant for drinks and ended up staying for 5 hours. Last night was the 5 year anniversary of our first date.

Did you like him the first time you met him? Yes. He was cuter than his picture online.

-He worked with my stepdad.

-We picked up Chinese take out and ate dinner on a dock while watching the sunset.

Did you like him the first time you met him?
-Yes! There was an instant attraction. We didn't start dating right away though.

-1 year

-2 years

-We waiting one year to start trying.

How did you meet DH? He lived in the campus apartment next door to me with some of my close friends. He was randomly assigned to live there.
What was your first date? We went to a movie playing in the campus theater, then he took me grocery shopping
Did you like him the first time you met him? I thought he was a huge geek. I still do, but I like that about him now, not so much then.
How long were you together before you got engaged? 2 and a half years or so
How long were you engaged before you got married? A year and a half-ish
Did you decide to TTC right away? Nope, he wasn't ready. We waited until after our 1st anniversary (and he still wasn't ready then, really, but I convinced him that it took time to make a baby ... and I wasn't wrong ...)

How did you meet DH?
Oh, this is going to date me....I first saw him on Friendster (anyone remember that site?) and we went on a few dates. But it didn't really take off the first time, and it wasn't until years later that our paths crossed again through mutual friends.

What was your first date?
We met at a coffee shop and walked around our downtown area. He went to shake my hand, and I went in for a hug. Then I told him I wanted to show him a cool part of the downtown, and got us lost. I pointed to the church I was attending at the time, which made him apologize for all his swearing (he loves to cuss). It's funny--that's sort of like our life today: drinking coffee, lots of talking, both of us getting lost.

Did you like him the first time you met him?
I liked him, but he was so shy! Until him, all my boyfriends had been extroverts who were usually the life of the party.

How long were you together before you got engaged?
Hmmm...a little over two years, I think?

How long were you engaged before you got married?
About 3.5 months!

Did you decide to TTC right away?
Wanting to have children was a motivator for getting married. We thought about throwing caution to the wind on our honeymoon after downing an bottle of California wine, but my practical side won out--I wanted to wait until we had insurance squared away. So we waited about 4 months.

--After he asked me out? I can't remember. DH probably knows. He has a better memory. We did hang out after work before he asked me out. He needed to stay at work to oversee some work so I was there to kill time with him. We sat in his car and had a beer. I don't like beer and had probably 2 sips during the 2 hours we were there.

Did you like him the first time you met him?
--Yes, I thought he cute but was way out of my league. I worked with him for 2 years before we got together.

How long were you together before you got engaged?
--6 years.. through high school and college we were together but still figuring out if we wanted to stay together.

How long were you engaged before you got married?
--2 years... We moved across the country a year after we got engaged. He moved with me.

Did you decide to TTC right away?
--We waited 2 years after we got married to start TTC.

Did you decide to TTC right away? Waited 3 months just to feel more stable after the wedding.

Update on me... I had embryo transfer today. We did a 2 day transfer with 1 three cell and 1 good-looking four cell embryo. Hoping that at least one sticks!
