I don't think I look like anyone famous, actually. A former co-worker used to say that I looked like a detective on some cop show I had never heard of, but I don't think so.

Favorite thing about fall...
I love fall fruit, fall weather, fall decorations, wearing flip flops and jeans, and Autumn Wreath candles! So pretty much everything

Anything new to report...
I hit 11 weeks yesterday! Still sick, still tired, but getting better. Also, we're starting to tell people. Eek! Now, I'm trying to focus on switching from "constant panic" mode to "excitement" mode. I mean, I'm excited, but it doesn't really feel real yet. Weird?

@Shutterbug: you may be my new hero for breaking out Clarissa Explains it All and Rainbow Bright in the same post. Pure 80s awesomeness!

If you had to pick one current hit song to play continuously non-stop in the background of your everyday life, what would it be?

Hmmm. Probably some really long classical song. Oh wait, I see it's a hit song. I don't even know what's a hit right now. I'm so not hip.

What famous person do people say you most resemble?
There's some travel channel host people I've said I look like. I've heard Farrah Fawcett before, too!

What is your favorite thing about fall/autumn?
The food! I love when the magazines have cozy looking stews. I also love the mountains turning colors--I love where I live. And college football.

Any treatment/life updates?
Still trying to figure my blood sugar out. I got a 118 blood glucose fasting reading. I'm in the TWW, but really don't feel hopeful given my thin uterine lining and blood sugar situation. I'm going to ask about taking estrogen to help build my lining up. I'm very frustrated with my health care situation--I'm being told things I know are incorrect, and don't have the feeling like I'm being listened to.

@Shutterbug: oh, how I hope this IUI will be it for you! Do you have a set date?

None right now. We mostly listen to "Happy" (my son's word for If Your Happy and You Know It).

No one ever.

What is your favorite thing about fall/autumn?
Well, there is no fall/autumn here. But I LOVE halloween. It is my favorite holiday. And this year we are taking little bit to Disneyland for it.

Any treatment/life updates? FET transfer tomorrow.

What is your favorite thing about fall/autumn? I love the cooler weather, the crisp air, the changing leaves, wearing jeans, pumpkin foods...I can't pick one. It is my favorite season!

Any treatment/life updates? Just waiting to find out the results of our IVF cycle. I will probably start POASing this weekend but my beta isn't until next Friday the 27th.

@Alie: I think I would have to travel about an hour at this point for a second opinion, or I could go to a different doctor in the practice. I asked to switch, and they made it seem like a big hassle. Good to hear numbers were good for the IUI. Why was it a tough procedure?

@Mrs.Someone: I thought when I told my RE the first time I met her that my periods were so light and so short that she would be concerned. She didn't flinch.

@TheSwissWifeStyle: I know there are different types of trigger shots, but mine was a pre-filled, single dose syringe (Ovidrel). Super easy and I barely felt it! I hope yours is just as easy

@Happygal: Apparently I have a difficult cervix -- which meant major pain+cramping at my HSG and then the same thing again at my IUI. My doctor said it's "little" and "requires manipulation". They didn't have to use a clamp to get it open though -- THANK GOD. I can't imagine how awful that would feel

@Mrs.Someone: I was wondering about her. Haven't noticed her online for a little bit. Are you referring to the fertility guilt/sorry threads? I was taken aback at some of the responses.

@Mrs.Someone: that makes me so sad

That whole series of events made we feel like some people are bothered by the infertility posts. I've always felt comfortable with this group, but didn't feel that way about the community as a whole after that exchange.

This is a tough question! Current hit song...I honestly don't know! I listen to "Beatles Radio" all day at work on Pandora. My parents say I was born in the wrong generation

Rachel Ray....people tell me I look like her all the time.

What is your favorite thing about fall/autumn?

I love fall! I love the leaves changing color, and the way the air is cool and crisp. I also love apple or pumpkin flavored anything I really like Halloween too!

Any treatment/life updates?

DH and I went to the RE right before our trip to Seattle. He is leaving the practice I was so bummed to hear this. He is really nice and I feel comfortable with him. This will be our 2nd RE switch in the past 2 years now. Aside from that, he doesn't feel that DH and I have given IUI's enough of a shot yet. He said he recommends at least 3 (we have done 2), but no more than 6 (unless you don't want to move to IVF). DH and I are thinking 4 will proabbly be our max.

I talked to him a little bit about injectables, and he felt that for only a slight increase in our odds, it was not worth the steep price tag. He said he would rather see us save our money for IVF if that's the route we wanted to take.

It was a good appointment. DH and I think we are going to do another Clomid + IUI in October, it just depends on my work travel schedule (I think we should be fine though)
