Was there anything you did to make it better? Did they just learn to like it?

LO didn't really like it around a month to two months old. Then, something just clicked and the only time she fusses in it is when she is hungry or really, really tired. Now that she can find her thumb, she doesn't get too upset.

LO hated it so I sat back there with her and sang to her and danced her toys around.

We went through a phase of this... we got her a wubbanub, she can put it in her mouth herself but before she could it was easier to locate one handed from the front seat and falls out less easily, she also likes to play with the animal and chew on the legs. When she fusses in there now I sing to her and it totally calms her down.

We're at 4 months and she HAAAAATED her infant seat from about 2 months until 4 months (she was fine as a sleepy little newborn). Nothing I tried worked. Toys, mirror, sound/no sound, pacifier, etc...it was all a waste. I just ordered a convertible seat and installed it and so far, it's been great! I think it's being able to be more upright and sit up that helps her. I know you're probably still a ways off from that, but good luck!

The only thing that helped was time. He started hating it around 2 months, and it took until he was 8 months or so before he was ok with it. Like screaming and crying as soon as we put him in. It was AWFUL! But he got over it eventually and I learned to keep the windows down and the music up to try and block him out a bit. Sorry you're having to deal with this too!

It was a phase from 1.5-3 months, I think? Awful. She just screamed until she fell asleep. And for 3 -4 weeks in there, she wouldn't fall asleep. Just screamed, even for the 45 min drive back from my parents. I wish I could have figured out what was so terrible.

At 4 months he stopped hating it... Not anything we did, I think he just needed to get bigger. Sorry, it's rough!

We just tried to put her in it every day. Even if for 15 mins in the house. I think that it really helped. By 7-8 weeks she was way less likely to cry and would chill or fall asleep.

She gradually stopped hating it with time. It sucked for a long time, not gonna lie. But she's been fine with it for a few months now, asking as we time our trips right with eating and napping.

@MrsStormy: we had one of those too! It really helped because I could reach it from the front and put it in her mouth easier than a regular paci.

She's 4 months. DH put a million toys in there. I thought he was crazy because she's so little, but he got the ones that hang down and she does grab for them It'll keep her entertained for a little bit..... and then the screaming starts again.
