Do you speed up, slow down or do nothing? I almost always slow down to right under the speed limit if they're riding me really close. I'm mainly thinking of 2 lane roads where they can't go around...people like to chase me on the one near my house!

I just keep doing what I am doing, and wait for an opportunity to let them pass! I don't slow down or speed up!

i slow down. i'm sure it's not the most mature thing to do but i can't stand someone riding my tail! especially if i'm going a few over the speed limit.

I start going exactly the speed limit, which usually means slow down a bit.

I might tap my brakes but generally don't change speed. Too many crazy road ragey drivers.

@MsLipGloss: on the other hand if someone cuts me off I flip them the bird guess I'm not very consistent.

I let up on the gas so I slowly slow down to exactly the speed limit. I'd never brake check someone though b/c I don't have time to possibly get rear ended. lol

I go the speed limit, which is usually slowing down (in an effort to make them mad). There is a bridge around here that I usually go 60 (SL is 50) and I ALWAYS get tailgated. Seriously, if I'm already going 10 over, you don't need to tail me.

@MrsH: Ha! I give the open-hand *whaddareyanuts?!* gesture . . . !

@sunny: You tap your brakes lightly a few times to try to get the other driver to increase the distance between your vehicles . . . it can be really dangerous!

@sunny: When you brake kind of suddenly for just a second to be like "hey get off my rear!"... generally the person is paying attention enough to not hit you but being rear ended once was enough for me to try to avoid it at all costs. lol

@MsLipGloss: I use that too I think people cutting me off is more dangerous than tailgating.

I pretend I don't notice them and keep the same speed. That usually makes them even more mad.

Before DS I was all about the brake check.
Now that he's usually with me I just change lanes or do something else to let them go around.

Break check! Not so much in Ohio but in Virginia. And that was also before baby.

I just ignore them unless they're being really bad, in which case I'll let them go by if I can do it safely. Just because someone else is being a jackass doesn't mean I have to be.
