Who "won"? Did you change your mind or did he?

I don't remember. We both wanted 2 but I think we both decided we wanted 3 after our first LO was born.

Mr. T won. He won so we could have Lorelei (I didn't want more) and now he is winning that we are done. He just has stronger opinions in the matter, and since I'm more ambivalent he gets to be the winner. He lets me "win" plenty, too, so I can't complain.

No disagreement here, but I want you to win, @FutureMrsMcK:! I damn near had a heart attack when u saw your name on the POAS thread!!

@LovelyPlum: Lol! Hence my disclaimer! I just lurk and pretend, sigh.

I always win. LOL. He said one, I say 2. He's already started saying.... "the next one..."

I think I won but he wasn't hard to convince. We knew we would have two - just weren't planning on having them so close together! - but I always wanted 3. He's accepted we're having 3 and like @travellingbee: keeps talking about keeping things for "the next one"

I guess he 'won' in that I was ready and he wasn't. Luckily I didn't have to wait especially long for him to be ready.

We both pretty much agree on family size (for now, at least)-- I said 2 or 3, he said 1 or 2, so... 2 it is. Our bigger disagreement was timing- I was ready to start trying a good 10 months or so before he was, but it was important that we were both gung ho, so I guess he "won" in that regards.

@FutureMrsMcK: I *think* I'm winning as we are TTC for a third lol. DH held a newborn and got baby fever, bad. Also, he watched a show on abc called baby daddy, and kind of melted when he saw the baby on the show...
One thing that didn't help was taking him into an expensive baby store and testing out uppababy strollers. That was a very cold shower for him.

I guess him? He was adamant only 2, I wanted 3. So we 'compromised' when we got pregnant with #2...we already have a boy so if #2 was a girl, we'd stop, if it was another boy...we'd reasses

Hmm... I will let you know after number 2 because at the moment I want three and he wants two! I suspect he will win because his ideas are usually more firmly rooted in reality and practicality than mine!

We haven't gotten there yet, but hell probably win. He wants two, I want three. But we will probably compromise at 2 and a dog.... Since our dog is also our baby.

I guess he won.. for now. I wanted to wait longer to have kids - DH persuaded me!
But he would likes lots of kids and I don't think I'll be persuaded to have more than 3... MAYBEEEEE four but I HIGHLY doubt it.

I won. He was one and done and I wanted two or three. Given my current age, two seems perfect!
nectarine / 2163 posts
we agree in that we're not making any plans on how many we want, other than planning to reassess after each is born
he won when we started TTC in the first place, i wanted to wait a year after we got married, he wanted to try right away
cantaloupe / 6171 posts
we both want 2 so that's not an issue (though I guess that could change down the road since we don't have any yet!). for timing, I guess he sort of won because I was ready before him, but then I ended up holding back a year to try because I realized I needed more time for my career. so when we started trying, we were both finally on board.
haha that seems boring, neither of us won or lost!

I'll let you know in a year or two! Right now I'm one and done and he wants 2.
pomelo / 5628 posts
He won...before we even got married. He only wanted one and his snip snip is already set! Maybe I can convince him to adopt later...

So far DH is winning: I want a second one and he wants to stop. I told him and I meant it: "I'd rather have a happy marriage than a second child" -- but secretly I hope he'll change his mind...
blogger / pineapple / 12381 posts
@Mrs. Fox: mister jacks was adamant for 12 months. I kept saying how strongly I supported him, but when he changed his mind I was ready with a plan

@Bookworm: this is exactly us, except DH is pretty unhappy about me not wanting anymore.
cherry / 205 posts
I guess I did...he left it up to me to have 1 or 2. So we're now ttc for #2

I don't know yet. He wants many. I don't know what I want. I can't say we're at a disagreement. It's more like: he knows what he wants and I have no idea. He might win if we have good kids. If we have wild ones, then we will not be having 5!

Not sure yet, still cooking an overdue # 1. Financially, I think two children is a good number for our family, but DH would prefer up to 4. I've told him I'll consider more if one of us gets an excellent job opportunity in the future, or we end up moving somewhere with a lower cost of living. Definitely don't need to spoil the kids, but I'd prefer better home buying options, if we had a larger brood.
