How long for? I did not co sleep with DS, but have since dd was home from hospital and she's now 13 weeks old! I love it! I put her in her crib for the first time tonight and pulled her out at 930 because I missed her. She puts her little hand on my chest and i just love it.

DD and I co-slept till she was 6 months. She learned how to roll and was all over the place. It was time for her to have her own space. I was sad the first week. I missed her baby face next to mine.

We co-slept for 12 weeks. I actually slept on the couch and she was in her bassinet, RnP or PnP. I started off there because I had a section (our bed is kind of high) then got used to it & stayed there once DH went back to work.
It must have been longer than that because she was born in October & I don't think we transitioned her to a crib until January/February..

Does a few hours in the morning count? I bring E into bed around 5/6am until 9am, I love the cuddles. I never did this with A though.

We co-slept/room shared until last week (8 months, 1 week old) & now she is in her own room until her first wake up & we co-bed, which is basically what we did when we room shared anyway. I dunno why we moved her lol
ETA: I actually hate sleeping with her in the fact that she (so very sweetly) loves to snuggle but I like to toss & turn & I can't do that without waking her up so I often wake up with pains from being in the same position for too long....but I honestly can't imagine waking up in the morning without her sweet face smiling at me, it's my favorite part of the day. & one day I will miss those snuggles, so I will do what needs to be done to get us sleep & so I will have sweet memories of tiny baby snuggles.

From about 6/7 months until 15 months. Occasionally co slept when he was younger than 6 months.

LO will be 2 in a couple weeks, and except for about a month long stint in her own toddler bed, she's been with us. We're all still happy with the arrangement.
She loves to hold my hand while she sleeps, and I often wake up to LO (in her sleep) saying "hands? Hands? Where are you hands?" Looking for my hands to hold

We co-slept for 23 months! It's been 2 months that LO has been sleeping in her own room and I still miss her. I sometimes take naps with her on the weekend or she'll come into our bed in the early morning for some cuddles.

Still doing it at 8 months, although now he naps in his crib and sleeps there until his first or second wakeup. When I go to sleep before he comes into our bedI seriously feel like something is missing! I like not having to go to bed at 7 PM though!That went on for awhile.

@MamaPhoenix: Same here! We started around 6 weeks, stopped around 2 months, then did again from 3-6 months during sleep hell. We sleep trained 2 weeks ago. I do still bring her in bed from like, 4-5:30 (when she gets up) every morning just to try to get more sleep!

@ms.janedoe: How's the sleeping going? I've even contemplated bringing her back in with me cause I miss it so much. She been doing ok on her own, but not ready to win any awards with the training. I even cuddled her in my arms today for her nap. I just miss the closeness you get when they are asleep. The smells, her hair, her breath. I will definitely co-sleep with all future kids. The nurse from the hospital can go pound salt!

We're still co-sleeping at 20 months. He spends the first part of the night in his bed, but comes into our bed around midnight. I love love love the cuddles.

We room shared till 5 months and now we cobed. LO is almost 8 months, and we are still loving it.

We are at 10 months and we just moved from co-bed to co-sleep because she was less cuddly and more dramatically flinging herself around for more space. When she wants to night nurse, I just move down to her bed, and sometimes fall asleep there!

Still going at 16 months! She sleeps in her crib to her first habitual wake up around 11-12am, which is when we go to bed, and she comes to bed with us. I loooove it so much!!! The snuggles are my favorite part of the day, and now (ironically) I have trouble sleeping without her on nights I go to bed earlier! I'm gonna have some serious issues whenever she decides to sleep in her own bed full-time.

@MamaPhoenix: It's going pretty good! I moved her bedtime a little earlier (6:00, which is super early), and she gets up around 10 to eat (I'll have to work on weaning her off this one in the next few weeks), and again around 2-3. Depending on tuning, I usually get her around 3:30-4:00 when she's up (because at that wakeup she's usually wiiiide awake) and bring her in bed so I can get more sleep (and some cuddles!). She's usually up for the day around 5:30ish.
Like you, not "perfect," but SO much better than where we were! She even went down with zero crying tonight! Like I said, I want to wean the early feed, and eventually try to work on that 4:00 wakeup everyday, but well get there!
ETA: I NEED to do something about naps... I can't get her to nap anywhere but ON me. I know I'll need to nap train, but I've been putting it off.

I love cosleeping. Especially early morning when baby ZuZu and I face each other and she gives me the biggest smile. The only drawback is that I've had to stop my midnight taffy fix. She might have woken up with a little piece of taffy stuck to her hand

I loved it while it worked, it was awful and kind of like torture when it stopped working. -
@mrsjazz: I was wondering if you were still co-bedding the other day. Hope she's doing well with it!
We co-bedded for the majority of the first 4 months. He also slept in a pack n play next to my bedside some nights, but he almost always ended up in bed with us. Around 4.5 months, he made it clear that he was no longer into it, we moved him into his crib, and he's been there since. I don't think he could even sleep with us if he tried.

Been co sleeping with my 2 month old ever since he got home. We bought a bassinet, in case we needed it, but never used it. I was very open minded about what kinda sleeping method we'd use and co sleeping came natural! He usually falls asleep on my chest and then settles between the crook of my arm and my torso over the night. It's super cute and lets me be lazy.

We started co-sleeping around the 4/5 month mark? Put him back in his crib for a few weeks then he hit some milestone and back in bed with us. Rinse and repeat. He's 10 months now and like other mommies, he starts out sleeping in his play yard and upon first wake, he's in bed with us. he still wakes up multiple times a night and it's hit or miss of me putting him back in the play yard. if he wakes 3x after I try, he stays in bed with me.
DS rolls and flings his limbs like crazy when he sleeps and I'm so afraid he'll fall of the bed! Which did happen once. Sigh.

DS ended up sleeping with us starting around 7-8 months and he's still there one year later. We just had a second baby but he sleeps in the rock n play next to the bed. DH jokes we may have to buy a California king next. I figure he'll move to his own bed when he's ready.

On occasion from the beginning until 4 months & then for about a month out of desperation until we sleep trained. Loved the snuggles but neither of us slept well at all. We have a few nights here & there still where she will come in bed with us but I try to not make it a habit.

Dd slept in a cosleeper on our room for 5 months until she grew out of it/ wanted to sleep on her stomach. Now there are times when she wake sup early that we try to get he to sleep with us but she just rolls around all over us. It's better that she has her space and we have ours!
