@jmarionsmith: you know, I tried that the other night. Wasn't too impressed. I still much prefer them stir fry.

@locavore_mama: @Rubies: I know, I know... hangs my head in shame... my parents were totally baffled by me. My bro loves spicy and Korean... me, I was the kid in the Korean restaurant with the Happy Meal. Sorry!!!

    Yeah brussels sprouts!

@mrs. wagon: It's okay, my parents used to rinse my kimchi before giving it to me...and now I just don't eat uncooked kimchi unless it's radish or cucumber or something else.

If I had to choose an Asian vegetable it would have to be the shiso/perilla that a local farmer grows! I love the tingly feeling on my tongue!

    Potatoes 100%!

Without them, no mashed potatoes, baked, twice baked, no wedges, no fries, no beef stew, no diced potatoes, no hash browns, NOTHING.

@jmarionsmith: I like it roasted with olive oil, S&P. Sometimes wrapped in bacon with lots of freshly ground pepper, sometimes with a browned butter balsamic dressing. I base an entire lasagna around it. I chop it up and add it to pastas and soups. Sometimes I roast it and then top it with an over easy egg. I could eat it every day.
