...does your cheat food taste delicious?

I had a strict elimination diet for a month and was looking forward to a delicious weekend of gluttony. I ate all the foods I was missing - including iced coffee! - but none of it tasted great. I think my taste buds just got calibrated to a lower level of sugar or something? I mean it tasted ok - it just wasn't as incredible as I remembered.

I think some meals are still great - like a great steak, which depends on fat and mouth feel. But the sort of sweet treats that I enjoy from time to time no longer have any appeal.

Has anyone eaten clean and still been able to enjoy cheat days? Or is it inevitable that eating clean changes your taste buds...
