@MrsSCB: Oh my gosh! That's crazy! Well, he and his sister now definitely know how MUCH their parents wanted to have them!

And interestingly enough, there were IDENTICAL twins at my school that were actually born via surrogate! But since they're identical they aren't twins due to the fertility treatment, but just luck/God because they came from the same sperm/egg. So interesting how the reproduction system works! (or in some cases doesn't work I guess.. blergh)

@LMOG47: I just gave that onesie to my husband for his birthday yesterday! I'm six weeks pregnant with our IVF baby. Just one though!

@LMOG47: love that onesie design!
People mostly ask us if twins run in the family. I've been very open with almost everyone who asks that and just say "oh we went trough fertility treatments." I'm not ashamed of it or anything. Some people at work that are older or just annoying I just say "no twins in the family - isn't that amazing!" And leave it at that. I've only had one person flat out ask me if we did treatment. Turns out she was going through IVF at the time too! I have heard a lot more crazy questions are going to come out when they are actually here and we take them in public!

I wouldn't even wonder with twins, but definitely higher multiples. It's not that I'm curious about IVF, more that I'm curious if something with such low odds happened spontaneously. And no, I would never ask a stranger. I think that's weird. For that matter, I wouldn't ask a friend either, because if they wanted me to know, I'd know already.

Yes! We went through IVF and got pregnant with triplets. As soon as we announced three babies the questions stared coming out. I wasn't hiding the fact that we did IVF, so I was pretty open with most people who asked if we were close. But there were tons of casual acquaintances, co-workers and just general strangers who asked. I usually had a smart comeback for them because I was so off-put that they would really ask that not really knowing me at all. DH and I had fun coming up with responses to really prying questions

Wow.. Pre HB I have definitely asked people with twins if multiples run in the family. Only because I was intrigued by multiples... Being nosey about IVF was never a thought in my mind.

@Caly: I
that onesie! If I'm successful with IVF, that's a must-have! (PS: I also want your attitude...I'm against shaming in general and being open about IF helps that, I think. Also, for years I've been the curious imbecile who's REALLY wanted to know about all those spontaneous -- and treatment-related -- multiples!)
